bag of chocolate coins for this man!!!
no bump stops fitted, there was none on the spax kit that came off so in my mad frenzy to get it all fitted ive never noticed!
Yeah its driving brilliant now except both driveshafts are shot and it has a bent hub as was running 2 degree neg camber on the o/s so its running a camber bolt temporary to sort that and i need to make a tool to fit the inner track rods as i ran out of time!
Swede, im using the standard...
done a good bit of reading up on here over the last hour and found out that cup arms leave you with a lot less room when lowered due to extra castor as mentioned above, looked back through my paperwork and found out that although the change over date for cup arms was 09/2002, my 03 plate car was...
rubber on the brackets too so its definatey touching them, I cant get my head round it.
going to check the part numbers on my eibachs to make sure ive got the correct 2.0 ones and not the 1.2 ones, my invoice says 2.0 ones but you never know!
its definitely rubbing on the brackets, ive ran this exact setup on all 3 of my 172s and never had any issues on the other 2, even with 16s but yet on this im having bother, even during 5-10mph cornering on full or nearly full lock (although just on the liners when doing that) but when pushing...
got an issue where my 172's front tyres are rubbing on the bumper brackets, after rubbing through the arch liners! this is happening both on 16" 172 wheels (was doing it really badly) and on 15" OZ F1's with 195/50/15.
the car is running cup dampers, eibach sportlines, a combo ive used many...
was running a bit funny so popped the plugs out for a look, Bosch super 4's or what ever you call them, and only hand tight too!!!!
stuck a set of the proper NGK's in, all torqued up to 25nm to stop it blowing them out the head!
standard 16s were in ok condition but not mint, and had a...
ive never heard a cheap motor factors one that sounds normal on a 172 they always sound loud and boomy or whistle!
i just fitted a brand new genuine Renault system to mine, lovely and quiet!!
if I remember right some people had to extend the wiring on cup spoiler fitment, however I never mine was long enough (typical Renault with different length wiring looms lol!)
dci 80 usually map to about 110hp, and 100's usually map to about 130
EDIT: around town the 80's feel quicker as the smaller turbo has less lag, infact theres hardly any lag, where 100's have more lag but a bigger punch high up the revs
yeah sure would, 190lb/ft of torque against the 172s 145lb/ft had a good shove to it! 172s would just crawl past! but if you caught them in the wrong gear you would pull on them until they wound up lol
my electric one was fine, to be hhonest if you take the sunroof off, clean the seal and drain...
clio looked good in first picture, stickers are hideous though, ruined that focus too!
remove the stickers and tidy up they wheels and I bet your 182 would look good!, engine bay looks good!
mine was mapped and filter, decent rubber, suspension and brakes, was a riot!
if your 1.2 is keeping up with there diesels then they don't have very powerful diesels!
epic cars, mine would give a 172 a good run for its money from 40-100!!
worlds apart from a 1.2 16v but definaltey a compromise between economy and performance, if you just want the performance then 172 all the way!
good honest opinion, that's much the same opinion I had of it when I ran it on my last 172, cant wait to get my rs tuner unlocked from my twingo and do my 172 now!
