There should only be 2 different engines. Pre pre 04 plate with grey engine cover and airbox with air feed to the right of the engine and then 04 onwords with black engine cover and airbox is part of that engine cover, air feed goes in at an angle near the middle of the engine. Then theres...

it was 2004 they changed them with the facelift, although there are 53 plate facelifts with the older engine! apparently the newer engine is better, I don't like either of them lol!!

They use a different inlet manifold, throttle body, rocker cover and im possitive a different ecu i recon you could be asking for trouble with that swap but itz worth a try while your there i suppose!

Itb is individual throttle bodys - awesome drivability and a nice power gain but bhp per £ not the best mod you can do especially when you need to fit cams to get the most out it. Turbocharge or supercharge would be my route :)
