awesome machine, my mate knows the Sitech guys well, they just built his forged EP3 engine, briefly met them a few times and they seem like a decent bunch of clued up dudes!!
my mate's FRS runs just over the 400hp mark and im always surprized at how well it puts its power down.
im with most of the guys in here, save a bit more for forced induction.
if you are set on cams however, and they do give a nice gain in drivability and response, its just not for everyone spending that sort of money for that over pure horsepower. I would personally be considering one of the...
rather than removing the full acustic valve and blanking off the vacume hoses etc id just pull the air feed out the right hand side of the airbox that way you get the same noise and when you fancy a change and making it a bit quieter you can just connect it back up.
Trophy seats have airbags...
I swear by Millers nanodrive but at £70 for 5 litres or there about it aint cheap!! be good to see some independent rolling road results to back up their power claims http://www.millersoils.co.uk/nanodrive.asp
the ST intercooler could have been fitted if I was willing to chop bits and piece off the bumper, inner grill etc which you wouldn't have noticed once the bumper was on but still not something I wanted to do so yeah it was a no go. Im not sure what I want to do to be honest about the...
Vinyl is going back on when new stuff arrives the pressure washer took a chunk out it lol
Spacers will be ordered once my r888's are on the f1s and ill see what i think i need
A d4ft conversion will cost as much if not more than an f4r, personally if it waz me tho id have the d4ft over it, its a cracking way to have fun and do somthing different.
Downpipe wouldny be an issue because you would just run twingo bits or spend 250 quid on a protoxide decat downpipe like...
yes they use the same 3 mounting points so changing isn't a problem, its electrical that stuff gets a bit different, easy enough if you have a doner car with everything to transplant, although obviously going tce you need to use a twingo as a doner car and would make life easier to swap the dash etc
I assume were talking 1.4 16v mk2 clio (Y plate to 2005 ish?) they handle very well out the box especially Dynamique models that get a stiffer setup than non dynamique models.
172 and 172 cup models run thicker and better design anti roll bar, everything else is uprated, springs, dampers...
But no one had even saw it when they started shouting im not buying it renault are making a mistake.
I dont think the car looks to bad but i dont think it looks spectacular but after seeing how much better a non rs looks in the flesh i cant wait to see this
my mk2 DCi100 would do 65mpg on the motorway no problem, my mk2 DCi65 would do 70mpg no problem and my MK3 DCi106 would do 60mpg no problem, and that was cruising at 80mph, overtaking etc not driving at truck speeds trying to see how high I could get the mpg, if I done that it would do 90's!! or...
I can see the F1, cup, trophysport, comeswithrecaros model getting a faster reacting gearbox if that's the case instantly devaluing all the early buyers cars!
usual Renault stuff!
for what I do on my phone I don't see any speed increase when im using my home wifi than I get out on the move on 3G and im running Virgin Media 50mb at home lol
of course it wont hence why I said its a good safe guard for them to use, it in absolutely no way affects the driving experience of the box in any way though does it?
with a decent manual gearbox it will let you downshift to a gear that could cause engine damage, all my clios have done it bar...
I cant see how allowing you to downshift would be any different to what you can currently do, I managed to go from the top end of 4th gear to 3rd in a 172 years ago instead of 5th.
however of course it would be a good safe gaurd to prevent the gearbox from doing this as all its going to do is...
but if your in a sideways slide a quick pull on the left paddle and an ultra quick shift is much quicker than, clutch down, shift down on the gearbox you cant rush or it will brake, clutch up and power down, id have thought anyway?
and as for having to change up mid corner, you have a turbo...
