I have a Piper stealth 2.5" cat back, it's loud as hell and droney on the motorway, i've been told by quite a few people they can hear me coming from two streets away, but on the plus side it sounds good and is bomb proof in terms of build quality.
Loads mate, reduced drivetrain movement means instant power delivery, loads of people moan about extra vibration but I didn't get any and everything is uprated and polybushed on mine, if you do get any extra vibration it's only at idle.
I was using aftermarket K-Tec/Vibratechnics mounts so they went in easy, it's getting the oem ones out that was a pain in the arse.
Are you replacing them with new oem mounts?
The gearbox mount may feel like it's never going to come out but just keep wiggling it it will come out eventually, also when bolting the new gearbox mount in I stuck the nut to my finger with some silicone so I could get it under the mount bracket without dropping it.
No don't do that you'll f*ck the timing up, you need special cam locking tools if you remove the rocker cover.
First thing i'd do is clean all the oil off everything so you can see exactly where the leak's coming from.
It completely smoothed out the 5k kick in mine and gave it some balls from 1-5k where before it had nothing,
you know Henk can write you a custom map tailored to your car based on the data logging you can do with the RST?
But all the OP has modification wise is and induction kit and exhaust which is what most people have on their cars, I have a V6 airbox, matched inlets and a decent exhaust which is essentially a standard car really, which is why I went for an RST because for the very limited power mods it has it...
I'd love a DB5 if I won the lottery, I know they're not very fast, handle badly, have terrible brakes and are temperamental and unreliable, but that's like telling me Kate Beckinsale has weird shaped toes, can't cook for sh*t and may occasional kick me in the b*llocks when she's in a bad mood, I...
Yep 2.5" Piper stealth i've had one on mine for years, bullet proof exhausts, if it wasn't for the drone at cruising speed they'd be perfect,
but after 8 years i've got used to it now.
Good because i'm sick of the thing dripping on the driveway and having to top it up every couple of months,
I can't believe it's just a tiny piece of plastic that causes all the problems.
It's the RSTuners that are locked to the ecu not the other way round, they'll be able to overwrite the map no problem.
If the ecu's were locked by RST's you wouldn't be able to clear fault codes with a clip tool, seeing as no one has ever said the garage couldn't diagnose their fault code and...
Every RST is locked to the ECU it remapped, so you can't go around remapping other peoples cars for free, if you went to a garage to get it mapped again and they were using RSTuners, they'd have to buy a licence to use it on your car, then their RST would be locked to your car and they'd have to...
