i went on my own name from 17 on my 1.2 16v then same policy on my 172 @ 17 and it was ridiculous at well over £2500 a year 3rd party, but then at 18 with 1yrs ncb i was insuring my 172 for £1500 fully comp then £900 fully comp at 19 and now at 23 im insuring the 200 for just over £300!

Is buying a 172 Cup the right thing?

even when your abs is kicking in on your road car you generally find you can brake much harder on a car with no ABS before it skids, just watch yourself on wet roads, over bumps etc, imo most cup owners probably dont even realise they dont have it ;) if it concerns you though go for a normal...

Just won me some wheels - not even got a Clio yet!

i beleive these are a simmilar offset to the twingo RS wheels and when i put them on my GT the inner rim was hitting the damper.

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news i was hoping this car was going to have the benefits of the clio chassis with the torque character of the megane's engine but it looks like it could be a bit too watered down with the DSG box etc. im trying to tell by watching the video but anyone recons...

hence why i said it had the dynamique alloys, which the extreme 4 comes with. (it was a cheaper poorer spec version of a dynamique)

First month of ownership and i wanna take it back.(advice on trader)

personally id say you dont have a leg to stand on, you have changed the car from the as sold spec and sold the old parts so cant return it "as it was" - you have forked out over £400 which the trader wouldnt have to pay you back, so that would be down the pan even if you did return it. plus at...

    R S stamped inlet

i spent quite a bit on different mods on my old ph2 172 a few years ago and the best mod i done was 182 exhaust manifold and k-tec decat link pipe, the driveability of the car mid range was massively improved, from memory overall including the AWT matched inlets, itg filter and k-tec stealth i...

Which Clio should I get for my first car?

not sure what there is to hate, nearly twice the mpg of the petrol, £30 tax over what ever a 1.2 costs £120 or something??, more torque than a 182 on the higher spec ones noise isnt a valid reason as a 1.2 4 cylinder hardly sounds awesome lol!!
  27. Martin_172

Which Clio should I get for my first car?

agreed, better going for the 100 and getting the +25hp+ on the already 100hp :)
  28. Martin_172

    Boosted Clio 200bhp?

thing is, people buy cars advertised that way i find myself speaking to loads of people who buy rediculous priced cars because its "boosted or chipped up to 200bhp". were the silly ones advertising cars honestly!
  29. Martin_172

Which Clio should I get for my first car?

dci is the one to go for, 60mpg no problem even when driven hard, £20/£30 a year road tax, pretty cheap on insurance and servicing
