Being a bit dumb, what do I get for double the price? I'm not one for all this adjustability either, just wnat something I can sort of setup and then plug in and play and live with it.
What load cell pedals are everyone using? Me and Fanatec are done. They've closed my query with them now.
Was looking at brake/throttle only for value, for entry level load cell I've got the Moza SR-P or Asetek La Prima.
Anything else to consider?
I had a little play around with the custom parts bit to chill out after work, about an hour and managed to actually get something looking like a building.
Few s**t bits with the yellow girders but not bad. Quite relaxing after a stressful day at work actually
Never played the first one in the end I don't think but I had trouble last night getting a piece of queue to snap to the path as it was raised a little, had to go through all the settings to make it work.
Watched a fair few YT videos on it recently, pathing fixed and can now have plazas etc.
Not ever played Planet zoo but taken a lot of the mechanics from that apparently.
Frontier have said no plans for game pass but I guess they'd say that whilst trying to smash as many pre-orders as possible.
Just reading back through this thread and funny how the daughter had just popped out when Planet Coaster came out and now she can't wait for Wednesday to play No 2:)
Muted everyone in the lobby, even the music when waiting in the lobby is bad. No idea, will continue with the monitor sound for now and keep trying.
I feel like I've hit my limit of talent though, can get consistent lap times but just not get any quicker. Must be my technique or lack of.
I decided last night to stop playing with myself and jumped into multiplayer, what a good laugh that is. Onl;y did two of the qualifying races I needed but I reckon this multiplayer thing could catch on, was so much better racing.
One problem I had is that my wireless headphones don't work in...
Fanatec finally got back to me, no chance of any compensation as it would be unfair on other customers some how.
Last attempt now I've asked for some sort of discount if I go ahead and purchase what I want.
Don't know if the true size of this new monitor comes across on an image.
We are getting there though, chased Fanatec again so will hopefully get at least a decent discount so I can upgrade to the V2 or V3 pedals, shifter and handbrake.
Once I've done that I can finally tidy all the cables...
Thanks for this, got the CSP and Weather sorted last night looks superb. Also did a few other bits following a video on the x4fab page.
Next step is getting some cars and tracks downloaded.
Then the game changer was hooking the quest 3 up to it. VR was outstanding, just found myself doing lap...
Going to have a think, I like the idea of the Nintendo but the way he goes through games on Games pass then I don't want to be buying one a week to keep him interested and then having to resale.
Game Pass is perfect but I think Steam Deck would be overkill for him.
What would be the best options for handhelds that would have access to xbox game pass? Is that even possible?
Alternatively, for a 4 year old is the Nintendo Online any good? Assume that is Nintendo's equivalent to Game Pass?
Reason is I just want a free library of games he can play instead of...
OK, finally got this working, needed to disable some steam controller setting.
So whats next, whats the best visual mods? and where is the best place for tracks and cars?
All black with white LED fans is the future. apart from I've got a tiny little strip of lights on my MB that I can't figure out how to turn off. they are on even when it is powered off.
Not worries about a mic, want wireless though.
If I was to get just a decent music set of headphones would they have the the spatial or surround sound like the gaming headsets bang on about?
Only just seen this.
Commited and ordered through works benefit scheme, guess I just need to wait for stock to come back in. Will be used on the Sim rig instead of triples...
Top work thank you. Xbox was bought back in Jan 23 so warranty was out on it, added the controller as a device anyway and apparently in warranty until end of December.
Going to ship it off to them.
Looks like a PCB board is £24.99 from a quick google.
I'm going to ignore all the sensible advice I got from the internet and buy the Elite as I want to play with the magnetic connectors :)
I've got an issue with my Xbox Controller and can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
It only powers on if I keep my finger held on the power X button, let go it turns off. I've tried both my rechargeable batteries plus a set of AAs and still no luck.
Anyone any ideas on what it might be?
Yeah I was, but when I asked they were still just Fanatec and pretty much bankrupt. They have since been taken over by Corsair so I'm chancing my luck that they are on some PR mission at the moment to keep people happy.
Well well well, less than 30 minutes.
