I know ive wanted one for years ans when i seen this come up i was straight on the phone to view. need to get a nice exhaust and coilovers when i have some money.
Got full nissan service history and all mots done there, the guy was 46 and lived by london so only used it on weekend to go shopping...

Another Purchase for the daily Drive, New tyres were required all round for MOT so i bought some 19 inch CSL Reps and fitted falken 452's all round, bloody expensive !
Hence why progress is slow due to lack of funds !

KW Variant 2's ready to be installed. Cant wait to get it on the track eventually,heard nothink but good things about them. I have got the variant 1 on my C20XE corsa which ive owned over 10 years now !

Debating which system to go for when i have some money spare.
Mainly going to be using for track days in the summer.
Not sure what the miltek system is like for the 172.
was thinking of getting a tubular manifold of flea bay to go with it.
Anyone advise the easiest way to get the bonnet open on a clio 172.
I have a broken bonnet cable which needs replacing and the bonnet is completely shut !
if i took the front bumper off would that give me access, would i have to remove the grill somehow ?

i have easy outs from halfords, biggest load of s**t ! they cost £15 and i swear there made out of plastic, ive used them on two different jobs and they have broke !
will have to get a good quality set fromsum where !

I have got to fit a new bonnet lever handle cable and mechanism today as when i bought the car the handle had broke off and pliers has been used to pull cable.
I removed all ofthis last night, sum1 had installed an laserline...
yeah will be doing afew sessions with everyone once its running. There was a laserpoint alarm under the bonnet ripped it out and the wiring loom for it. dont have the key fobs for it and i dont think it was working !
mamaged to snap the bleed nipple trying to slacken it off !
i manged to break the bleed nipples trying to loosen them off ! did put some loosning oil on etc and gently tried to loosen them !
i guess they havent bee touched since the factory !
any tips lol !
will have to see if i can extract the boken bit out but i think there that tight in it wont...
I'm thinking of getting some refurb calipers for the front of my 172 as they have covered 84,000 miles and since i'm replacing everythink else and goingto be doing track days its probably going to be woth it.
Wheres best to buy some from and what sort of price are we looking for the two ...
Yeah i cant wait to get it on the track either. will be taking it down to demon tweeks within the next month and getting the alignment done ready for the track.
Need to get and exhaust system too at somepoint.

Suspension is now on, New Brembo grooved discs and pads on front< just need to bleed them today and adjust suapension height as it is slammed on the front so going to raise it.
will upload some more pics.
Does anyone know if the original renault bushes need drilling to fit the KW variant 2 rear suspension on 172 182 as they dont fit the KW shaft
The shocks have two triangular rubber type pieces on the shaft along with a waher and nut, not sure if these are in place of the renault bushes or our...
maybe thats whats required on mine doesnt mention anythink like that in the booklet though.
Not even sure if the black rubber parts are just fro protection on the shaft ?!!! will have to see what others have done.
doesnt say much about the rear in there booklet or have any diagrams. Not really clear either, ive just assumed the rubber pieces on the shaft are in place of the renault ones.
Anyone advise on the rear shocks KW variant 2. There are two black rubber type pieces on the shaft with a big washer and nut.
I'm assuming these are endstops in place of the renault ones on the original rear shocks as these do not fit onto the KW shaft as these have a thicker shaft.

The Coilovers are KW Variant 2 adjustable height and damping front and rear . Will check waht the range is on them.
I cant comment on the keeping clean of the flocked dash as the car hasnt moved off the drive since i bought it 6 months ago ! I think you can get a special brush t clean them...
The dark got the better of me ! Got my brembo max discs on but didnt get time to get the calipers and pads bolted bak in place !
will have to wait till next weekend now due it being on the drive with no decent lighting !
Anyone advise how you tighten these at the top of engine bay.
They dont have a big alan key hole at the top to stop the shaft from spinning like on the standard shocks.
anyone who has fitted these advise the best method to do this part.

Does the bearing scratch the purple spring hat when steering ? I just didnt want to fit prior to asking ?
I just thought with it being nice and anodized its abit of a waste !
