I refurbed my alloys not long ago and now fancy changing them again. I did quite a good job so I fear that the old spray will be a ballache to get off.
Last time on my old wheels I couldn't remove the old spray paint, nor could I spray over it after sanding because the primer seemed to react...
Blowtorch? Just start the car and it'll heat up.
It will remove easier when it's hot because the metal will have expanded. Make sure you wear gloves though!
Having a 172 donor car would be the only cost effective way to do it.

I can't imagine address is even relevant - the insurance companies will keep those on file so there is no need for one party to know the adress of the other one.
I want my Trophy Turinis refurbed back to their standard colour.
I know I can choose the colour, but lacquered finish is an option... I want it to look as OEM as possible so is it worth getting the lacquered finish or not? Or would they look too shiny?
:S
Also with the dampers, if they've been done then you're onto a winner. If not, use it as a bargaining tool to get money off the purchase price so you can get them done.
Most of them will have been done by now.
Cornering Force was £180 for both dampers when I got mine done. BG was around £400 then they try and sell you 'optional extras'. I got a set of used 182 Cup dampers for £50 off here in the marketplace, they're just sat in the garage now.
If you can stretch to a Trophy then do that. Out of the box, they are spot on and require no modifications, plus you get better seats and better resale value. If you do though, just make sure that the dampers have been refurbed with evidence, and test them when you view it (there should be next...
Sorry but again it seems you have no idea what you're talking about.
In simple terms, 0n a Clio it's a gimmick. On a turbo'd car like this, it actually serves a decent purpose.
I was driving behind a classic with antilag and that's what made me want to buy one! Obviously being 19 insurance didn't permit it so I had to have the next best thing :)
Thanks, it was an unequal length Borla manifold, Afterburner Vortex backbox and a straight through centre section.
I got both cats removed afterwards but it ruined the exhaust note... sounded like a complete animal though. I've only ever heard one louder than mine.
Nope I got them Scoobynet used off an STi, they were silver but my mate was going to spray all the parts for me. It would have looked spot on when finished, the plan was Rota Grid Drifts in bronze too eventually.
