Finished off the last bits on the clio this morning. Gear Selection still isn’t perfect but it’s close. So a little fettling to sort.
Thanks to @Mr Underhill for the recommend as always, these cheap trims are exactly the ticket and look s**t loads better than the old gopping plastic snotters...
My situation isn’t dissimilar to this.
Got purchased by a big American firm who’s grown hugely in the last few years. All extremely disjointed.
They didn’t have a ‘my team’ and only made three people redundant across the whole company in the merger.
But we are also owned by a large PE firm and...
Not sure how old the one in mine is (it is carbon). But the bearings were all completely shagged.
So a good freshen up can’t hurt. It feels totally different now.
Finished the refurb today.
New upgraded pivot bearing is a big improvement. Not only is the motion smoother and plusher, it no longer rattles.
As mentioned above, the bearing feels much better than the stock one. More of a controlled motion.
