Brake bleeding kits

what's the trick to getting the brake pedal to work with little or no travel.

My M3 has just had a load of work done, and one item was braided lines. After picking the car up the brake pedal now feels like it has an inch or so of travel before there's any bite. Before there was no travel at all.

The specialist I took it to isn't local so I want to try and sort it myself (also got the same issue on one of her cars so I'd like to sort that to.).

Could be air in the abs pump, might need cycling using INPA etc.

Use one of the bleeders mentioned in here and pump the pedal at the same time.

Should get a rock solid pedal then.

Failing that, do as Dave says. Although there shouldn't be any air in the pump from just changing to braided lines.

I got a cheap pressure bleeder from Amazon, it’s been great used it loads.

You can tell it’s a quality product by the name

I’ve got a pressure one from Halfords I’ve had for years but it isn’t on their website that I can see.

It works well but it’s a f**k on having to connect to a tyre for pressure. I’d probably go with a suction type one if ever I needed to replace.

That does sound rubbish, the one I have you just pump the pressure up and it does the rest. its mega easy.
