Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
its not actually an oil temperature guage apparently, no sender for it, it just works out rough oil temperature bassed on coolant temp someone mentioned on here.
my GT DCi pulled well after 20k miles of death from day one, my 200 let go of piston 3 at 147mph @ 2000...
ive had a few close calls with this, My GT DCi went in to get fixed under warranty after my dad managed to pull the door handle off the doorcard lol its far to close to the hinges
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
apparently the best way to run it in is give it absolute death from day one as soon as its up to temperature.... so i heard. not 100% sure if its a good idea, infact im pretty f**king sure its not a good idea!!
warranty isnt worth it when it causes this much hastle, considering taking a week off work and ripping it apart, putting an F4RT in it and building it back together properly myself!! LOL!
they sure do, however im not sure arnolds customer services department are going to appreciate the letter im sending attached with the sales invoices of over £150,000 worth of cars we have bought from them for our family business in the last 10 years from this dealership which will now be being...
Update:
so a brief bit of a recap, Car goes in for new engine, full subframe removed to do this, car comes back pulling all over road, i choose to take it to suspension geometry specialist to have it rectified 100% at my cost as i take all my cars there and was planning a trip anway, puts car...
just get a 3 way splitter and split a vacum hose on the boost pipework going to one of the sensors, no idea the best way to run the hose to the guage on a mk3 as ive never had to run anything thru the bulkhead, ive used the bonnet release cable gromet on mk2's though.
yeah they are terrible, 172/182s arnt bad due to the 4th engine mount between the gearbox and subframe, dci100's dont need this due to the linkage being ontop of the box tho, their is no movement in the gearstick, if there is then a mount is on its way out!
just the basic stuff you would check on any normal car plus check to make sure it pulls up thru the revs on full throttle clean with no warning lights or loss of power.
should start to come on boost at 1500rpm then strong at 2000rpm and hold its power until 4500-5000rpm
100's arn't much faster than 80's especially day to day as the 100 delivers its power higher up the rev range, 100 has much more potential though if you are into modding, 130hp/190lbft easily had, uprate the clutch and well over 200lb/ft is available.
they drive much better too with the...
wow not a bad increase for bolt on mods, so does that mean if i do the same mods to my 200 it will also knock off 2.5 seconds 0-60? 4.5 seconds would be sick!!!
i love the car mate, or should i say i love the clio 200 just not this one. its going back in on friday for one final attempt at getting put right, however if its not sorted by monday morning then they can refund/replace or reposess i dont care, what ever happens it wont be coming back to me!
yeah it has mate, im that sick of cars after it i just want another diesel to nip about in, really like the megane coupe dci160 but im not buying another renault, and im definately not buying another car from arnold clark!
family business is now doing the same moving away from renault and...
update on this, car went back into dealership. bonnet now fits, exhaust still blows, car still pulls all over the road, car is extremely dangerous under hard braking, lurches massively to the left snatching the wheel from your hand, passengers side disc has a big lip on both sides, drivers is...
app support will come with time, remember when i first got my N8, app support was very limited, now ive yet to find an app that any of my mates use on android or iOS that i cant get for Symbian
he has grey xenons hes now got black ones, dci owners have so much extra money from their low fuel bills they can afford to do crazy s**t like that (hence his recaros and surprized he doesnt have sachs yet ;) )
i was emotionally attached to my first 172, it was hard to let it go but i was doing loads of miles, had my DCi and really needed the money more, so i let it go. wouldnt say id buy it back though.
only car id ever buy back is my original first clio 1.2 just purely for the memories with it, my...
