Re: 2002 Clio Sport 172 (equipment)
i beleive the only option on a ph2 172 was a 6 disc changer, my one never had one. altho it had the wire so possibly removed at some point
EDIT: sorry sat nav was an option too
who said the car was being put under load or red lined? a car can have a flat spot at any rpm/load.
they do usually have odd flat spots for the first 30-60 seconds but should be fine after that, ambient temperature usually makes it better/worse
na the standard paper ph1 filter is a better design too, much bigger with more surface area, so imo not as much of a restriction as the smaller flat ph2 filter, which with the same engine, any extra air flow will be more of a benefit.
paper filters arnt bad when brand new but apparently foam...
cars now finally running good, just going in this week to finally get a dodgey caliper replaced so it finally brakes in a straight line again, then it will be running sweet! never to be returned to arnold clark ever again! f*****s!!
looking at my RR graph from yesterday, lets not use this thread to dispute results etc but by looking at the graph its self, the car hasn't started to tail off even by the rev limiter, so looking at it i recon i would benefit from a few extra hundred RPM
thoughts?

engines are ok, i blew one up at 140k but i was a mad 17yr old, car had FULL dealer history though!

just the cops being c***s as usual they done him for his plates not 100% sure on the issue but hes been done for them on a few ocassions and every time had it threw out when he fights it as they are legal. sounds like he just likes fighting them for the...
i sheared one a few years back too, it seems quite common on cars running uprated gearbox mounts (i was running a polly bushed 172 mount - it was on my 1.2 16v) i always put it down to the stress of less play in the mount. possibly just a s**t setup only having one lower mount if yours has done...
yes mounts are the same, 172/182 has a gearbox to subframe mount that the lower spec cars dont but id imagine you could just drill a hole in the subframe to use it anyway, however cant see that being an issue for you since you are using a different engine/box.
suspension/lower arm/arb setup is...
got one on pre order should have it for the end of the month aparently. Symbian does everything i need ive been using it for the last 1.5yrs on my N8
reason its running symbian is because they have been developing the camera technology for the last 5yrs so been developed to run on Symbian...
yep mate that sounds about right, the setup on it is awesome, it manages to offer little body roll, while soaking up bumps with ease, it does feel quite stiff on the road compaired to a Dyn S but in no way uncomfortable. The 200 with cup pack can be very uncumfy on the road but i dont mind as...
roundabouts and sharp corners are only going to be an issue if you approach it like a spaz and turn the wheel expecting it to turn. the mk3 chassis is extremely adjustable on the limit, use weight transfer to get it round the bend as you would in any nimble FWD car and you will be fine.
I will...
if your suffering from "lack of grip" in the GT then your using a far to aggressive and slow style. i done plenty of track days in mine and never had a single issue with the standard setup. standard brakes left a lot to be desired on track but not really what they were designed for.
i beleive...
