i dont know the physical tech specs but i know for definate 172 cup dampers are uprated over normal 172 ones, and 182 ones are even more so (with difference bolt spacing remember)
but basically, trophy excluded, 182 cup ones are the best of the bunch.
182 used a thicker ARB from memory too
i used to run them on my mapped DCI100, were more than up to the job, didnt last very long i used to get 5k (hard miles) out a front set running a pretty aggressive front suspension/geometry setup.
wern't the grippiest in the wet but you could still drive more than quick enough to loose your...
na i change car every 12 months, im sorting it, get the summer out it then swap it for something else before new year unless it seriously impresses me and i keep it, but had that much stress with it i just cant see myself keeping it.

just takes a bit if getting used to compaired to a mk2, yes it feels less nimble but when you start to learn it you will realise how much extra grip you have available!
think im just going to cancel on RUK's offer and go ahead getting it sorted myself anyway at ProGrip, just want the full situation over with!! its not right i should have to pay for it but im done caring.
so close to chopping it in for a DCi106 clio again lol!!!
if the pistons are ok in it id be going for a rebuilt head as danny says stick a set of cams in it or headwork or something to make the best of a s**t situation
suits the wheels, skirts look quite cool on it, not a fan of the splitter though, i bet that factory kit wasnt cheap when new! did you remove the bottom part of the splitter or snap it off? lol
got a phonecall from RUK today, apparently they monitor forums etc and saw i wasnt happy, want to get it back into another dealership to start from scratch so i agreed and they said they would get Parks in East Kilbride to phone me and arrange to get it in for a few days, they will get me a...
