Sounds like a thermostat problem. Does it warm up, then when you boot it, cool down and give you the cold rev limiter (6800)?

What's it on at the moment? I thought they were coils!

Sand>flat>primer>paint>laquer. A few very fine coats of each. That's basically all you need to know :) Buy your paint from www.auto-paint.co.uk or a decent motor shop that mixes paint, Halfords 'pearl black' colour is a s**t match.

There's a few guides in the guides section mate, look particularly at the one by FM-696.
