they are at the back of the engine so its subframe dropped, steering column disconected from the rack, then you need to wiggle and turn them to get it out!
ive done a couple. takes me about 6 hours without ramps!
ohh aye and avoid conti sport contact's like the fuckin plague, not sure if there is a new version out but i got a set on the front as i was desperate and needed tyres there and then one day and jesus christ they tried to kill me a few times!
T1-R's on the clio for me arn't as good as the GSD-3's but they are bloddy good for the money!!
really its down to driver preference and the car, i swear by gsd-3's but my mate hates them.
lol are we talking 1.6 16v dynamique spec here? ive never driven any older ph1 clios but the dynamique spec ones with sport suspension package handle brilliant, much softer setup than the 172 but the grip is there
182 exhaust manifold is the BEST mod i done to my 172 along with the k-tec link pipe/decat difference in mid range pull was brilliant. imo if you dont want the hastle of fitting the manifold (its a pain) and changing the cat every year for mot (once you have a custom cat made for it!) then id...
theres a big difference however tyres make a massive difference on the non RS models.
1.2's have horrible electric PAS on them with no feeling or weight.
the rest have the sports suspension package and hydraulic PAS and just feel like a softer setup of the 172.
when i got my 2nd dci (my...
its one of they things if you can do it yourself then go for it or atleast have it fitted cheap for the following reasons...
1. you only have 1 cam not 2
2. reprofiled cams cost a fraction of the cost of aftermarket cams
3. the belts are a piece of piss to do on 1.2 16v's
4. it will give gains!
looks good, id keep the black plastics as said but id ditch the silver 16v badges for black ones, the 2 different colours of silver clash, swap the side repeaters for genuine clear ones, swap the headlights for grey backed ones, and colourcode the spoiler, sorted :)
you can have yours re profiled, easy to change, belt is easy, something mild will still give gains without a map but ideally you want a custom map on it which is going to end up making it not worth while from a financial point of view
not a ph2 VTR they are 100bhp and do 0-60 in 9.1 seconds book time which is actually .3 of a second quicker to 60 than a 1.6 16v clio but obviously thats nothing on the road, not work arguing over anyway.
you will never get 130bhp and good mpg from one, the standard inlet manifold is balls so...
ive got T1-R's on the DCi, they are no eagle F1 but they are a good bit cheaper, considering they are priced as a budget tyre they are brilliant! on my 172 i used F1's religiously and i would still use them if i still had it.
how do you compair it to the VTR performance wise? i find my car is pretty much on par with standard VTS's and my mrs 1.6 16v isnt a million miles behind compaired to mine so i take it its a bit quicker than the VTR? bit less torquey than the wee 8v lump low down?
lol screw that a 172 will still average mid 20's when driven hard, even my old one wouldnt drop under 20mpg when driven hard., if i was driving something that got 20mpg id want something genuinely fast.
mate its a 110bhp car its not even a warm hatch!!! my 172 would average mid 30's when driven normally and i dont mean slow i just mean normally flowing with traffic, driven hard it would still get low 20's when really going for it
i got better mpg from the 172 than the 1.6 gets driven the...
