i bought the Dynamique interior from you back in the day for my old 1.2 16v, was mint condition hardly used i always remember that, was when people had just started putting 172 interiors into dynamiques and as usual me being me wanted to be different lol
id avoid them like the plague, yes some dealers are better than otheres but the pipework and boxes they use to start with are terrible.
my mate got one on his 172 at motorsport world and the exhaust its self was solid and well made but the tailpipe had gone brown with rust after about 5/6...
ive had 2 so far the first as a cheap runabout for winter when my 172 was having a few bits done, 155,000 miles, 2001 51 plate, no service history, hammered all winter from cold, handbrake turns in the snow and ended up in a ditch, sorted it, pilled another load of miles on it, and it was bullet...
i laugh at people in prius's as i fly past on the motorway at 70mpg in the dci 100 riding the torque wave lol
however you are being offered a 23k car for free lol sell the R and you can always buy another or a cheap hot hatch to have fun with
i havnt driven my 172 in months and drive the...
pumps are ok on all engines apart from the 1.2 16v in my experiance, id leave it unless its on silly millage (well over 100k) or been run on horrible coolant or just water as the coolant lubes the pump.
using non genuine parts which are fine you can get the belt kit and pump for £100, id want 2hrs labour max for that so your talking £200 for the belt change max
id be questioning that, genuine parts cost more than that never mind labour, even using gates parts thats not leaving much for labour. for a 5 hour + job
plus i doubt the aux belt has been done for that, which if snaps will take your cambelt with it!
EDIT: i just read what you posted and...
what you changing oil pump for?! lol
if you ment water pump which you should 100% change with cambelt then i wouldnt be paying anymore than £250 for the lot inc parts and labour infact id probably expect the drop links done for that or just a bit more! their bloddy harder than the cambelt lol...
the patern part ones are terrible and restrictive that you will get from kwik fit etc, if you want standard go for a genuine, if not then go for a ktec
standard 15s are the best looking wheels you can put on them it just needs a set of 195/45/15 tyres on it with the wheels cleaned up and a set of 10mm spacers.
its too low though, i must be getting old but my old car was that low and they handle terrible on the road lol
heres a few videos of mine...

welcome to the club mate, only exhaust id use on them is the K-Tec Stealth, i got big gains, awesome sound, and looks fantastic (when you look up the back of the bumper ;) ) they look best with no tailpipe showing!
lol think i know the blue one your talking about i smashed the granny out it down the dual carriageway in the mrs 1.6 16v dynamique if its the same one lol
dci100 runs similar box to 197 i beleive, but also has a different bottom end to a dci80/65. your best bet would be dci100 bottom end with dci106 6speed box
should have punched power ranger cop in balls and drove away, if they appear at your house then they can read your plates so shouldnt have been stopped in the first place
this has been quiet for a few months now! anyway heres what it was looking like when i took it back off the road for more work which im just starting....
