Yeah you should see 200 easily enough with the 421's in too.
TBH though, if I were you, I'd do the belts/dephaser, knock the 421 idea on the head, and put that 5/6/700 or whatever they cost into fuel/tyres/trackdays. You'll get plenty more smiles doing that than you will with another few hp!
Looking good. It all clicked when Chris told me he'd sold the ITB's/Omex. Glad they went to a good home!
Re the plans above. Cat 422's are no good on a standard bottom end, the piston pockets aren't deep enough and standard compression ratio doesn't suit. 421's are the choice for standard...
I see the road/track tyre arguement was touched upon in your Meganesport blog. You'll have no more fun with stickier tyres, just marginally quicker laptimes and a bigger chunk out your wallet. Money better spent elsewhere for me, or just towards more trackdays. Miles = smiles.
Not quite possible to launch over the mountain Josh Brookes style!
It's brilliant, I can't remember if I've done 4 or 5 days there now but I'll never get bored of the place. It's a track where you really don't need straight line speed to be quick, it just suits a well sorted chassis. My Clio...
Looks fantastic as ever Chris. Have you been around Cadwell before? My favourite track by far. I've just bought another Megane, R26 this time, no doubt it'll be out on track at some point.
Trophy spec includes the 'keyless' entry/start. Not strictly keyless, but does have the door handle sensors and lock button, then the card doesn't need to be in the slot, just within the car. Same as Lux as said.
I could be on the way to Bristol in the morning, instead i'm heading to Ashford. 200 miles each way, heck.
Trailer selling yep, it'll be on ebay within a week I should think.
Sold pretty much everything now, wheels inc. The 2 on the car are borrowed just to get it down there.
Well, it's been a fun 3 years, learnt an awful lot and met some great people because of it. I guess this is the end :(
In other news, if anyone wants to buy either a Volvo or a trailer, get in touch.
