i tried to look into it too when my car was off the road in winter but again no one seemed to use them so looks like you might be the guinny pig! as you probably know they have their pros and cons and if its fast road/light track work then you'll be fine as long as you dont go too light!

no problem with the boxes if you behave with them, my 172 takes hard abuse every day and has been fine for 2 years running 190bhp+ when i was a harsh 17yr old i trashed a 1.2 box! but it was on 140k!!
