I was about to get a drive of the thing, then the Williams/16v decided it was a good time to roll on the straight so I got no further than the pitlane!

I need a roadtrip sometime, highly unlikely I'll get a holiday anywhere else. 100% have to be the Megane though, clio can stay firmly where it is, fook that!
Crankshaft pulley comes off to do the cambelt, so if the bolt either wasn't replaced or wasn't torqued correctly when refitted then that would cause the pulley to slip, as has happened, putting the timing out and valves meeting pistons.
I'd have thought when they spread from a chip, the stifness of the car has something to do with it, but on this occasion I don't really know. Fitter was happy the screen was at fault so that'll do me.
Had another windscreen fitted tonight; this is the 4th in 21 months of owning the car. Previous one was cracked on the drivers side, but it hadn't spread from a chip like they usually do. Because of this, my fitter agreed to replace it FOC and send it back to his supplier. Means I lost a few...
Not had the camera set up all year I'm afraid :(
