HA!
Idle control valve yeah. No need to take the T/B off, it sits just to the left of it. Grey plug on the top, cylindrical looking thing, pipe to the inlet manifold just to the left again.
Take it off and soak it in brake cleaner or similar and/or hit it with a hammer.
Hai. Quick bump.
Another trackday down at Mallory last weekend for the RTOC National Day, really enjoyed it. The good news is that I didn't have to touch a tool all weekend and my windscreen hasn't yet cracked! :D
Yes it's still in primer, meh.
Oulton Park a week tomorrow on...
It's plenty big enough, no idea how busy it'll be though being a bank holiday.
To save me searching, what time are we all meeting?
I'll send a few texts out too.
They had it attached to an old land drover to pull it off the flatbed.... he was sat there with smoke POURING off the clutch, that was rather funny. :star:
No we didn't actually, completely forgot to be honest. I wasn't pushing too much in the wet, shame it only started to dry a little towards the end of the day :(
OEM springs off dampers? No need if you're not going to be reusing the top mount. The whole unit can come off the car as one; undo top nut and two bolts out the hub.
Another shameless plug of Grays Ph1, it's a genuinely good and quick car built to an excellent spec, with a rediculously strong engine!
Re. the spring compressors, just buy a new set of top mounts to go on the coilovers and you don't need to touch the awful things :star:
