I've got a Humax PVR-9200T and its fantastic!! It's has 2 x built in Freeview tuners and 160gig HD. Pause/Rewind Live TV record 2 channels at once while watching a third! Basicly I can queue up to TV and watch it at my lesiure.

Fine if you have £80 quid lying around - also the towel trick can fix certain for faults for about a months or more.

Yours does sound odd - never really had any crashes - just wouldn't switch on. Just send it back m8 tbh.

Wouldn't bother letting it cool down tbh - as sometimes times vary how long i need to leave the towel on for! sometimes about an hour. - as soon as it comes on the fans kick in big time and cool it down. - nothing to loose really as its dead anyway :)

I use common sense - and hijackThis just to make sure nothing has sneaked on (once very 3 months) - no anti-virus - no adware crap - no defrag s**t, no software firewall - sod all. Never had a single problem :)

Not always a perm solution but mine is well out of warranty so nothing to lose tbh. I have had to do it once a month? depends on the temp. If yours is under warranty then i'd send it back.
