That's what I was banking on, but I though that ULR will only cover the person not at fault?
I've never worked in claims, literally have no idea how any of it works :o
Thanks all.
Mike/Dave, I'm sure I'll be in touch guys, appreciated. :)
I had a lovely letter this morning regarding fee's for picking up the vehicle and storing it. Bugger.
Thanks mate :) Gutting but things like that happen, I'm trying not to dwell on it.
I had a similar noise coming from mine, couldn't be arsed faffing around with bits so changed both lower arms, TR ends, ball joints etc last month, and the noise went. Sounds like you've had all that sorted so...
Police were there mate, they didn't really speak to me or the other party though. Just guided traffic until the recovery trucks turned up and went on their way. The lorry had long gone by that time though, he drove off pretty much straight away. Didn't leave the cabn AFAIK.
Thanks Ian.
Don't think I'll be doing any form of upgrading now Roy, my premiums are going to be a bit steep. I'm trying my best to turn it into a good thing (stay with me, lol), that car was a bit of an obsession; every time I heard a new rattle/creak I'd spend a fortune getting it sorted...
Oh it was Roy. It's weird really, when you drive a road for so long you almost become completely oblivious to it. I'm sure we all do it; the kind of road you're driving along that you think 'Jesus, I can't remember the past two minutes'. So as soon as something along there changes, it...
Was just a thought. Strangely enough, when I picked up my valuables yesterday the recovery guy asked me the same thing; if anyone was guiding traffic. But then again he looked like Verbal out of The Usual Suspects, so I doubt he had a law degree. But anyway, you'll be happy to hear that I...
Thanks gents. Pete, that sounds scarily similar!
Hi mate, I'll forward the details of the company I use tomorrow when I'm off tapatalk. They're not cheap, but they're very, very good.
Cheers mate, yeah I guess that's the main thing really. That picture makes me sad, would have been sooo much...
Thanks all :)
Thanks Steve, appreciate it mate. May well be in touch if the claim isn't settled before my courtesy car gets sent back.
Indeed it did Alan, good eyes. Sir_Dave bought it from Jay and I bought it from Dave, and like to think it continued to look immaculate. I'd just got it back...
Thanks all. Courtesy car arrived, I'm having a beer and trying to just forget about today.
I'm just jesting mate. I can't really hear the sharpening ;)
Yeah. Clutching at straws comes to mind I guess.
Cheers mate. Yeah, crazy as we were joking about 'crashing being easier than selling' the other day!
Indeed mate, one of the best left IMO. Who'd have thought that Dave's shed has outlived it?!
Cheers Clart. You're welcome to it if I get it back mate.
Yeah Rob, you have a warning that there's train tracks though, don't you? Meh, like I say, I'm not looking for an excuse, just closure for myself really. No scoob for me now, btw.
Thanks for the email Kev, will text you tonight.
I've been chatting to my Dad about the incident this evening and he's raised a fairly good point. Now, I'm not one to lay blame elsewhere but the reason I hit the rear of someone else was due to a lorry reversing into a driveway; the person I...
The only lesson that I'd give out is that no matter how well you think you know a road, you really can't predict what's around a corner. No one can.
Anyway, I'm ok, the other driver's ok and car's can be replaced. Fin.
