    RIP Trophy 433/500

Thanks for the kind words/PM's people. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not going to be able to get anything from it (depending on CAT status) but I'll PM anyone that's interested in the parts the address of the salvage yard as soon as I find out. I'm just gutted. It's weird, I was only telling...

    RIP Trophy 433/500

Wrote it off this morning on the way to work. Extremely gutted and a bit sore, but ok. Especially gutted as I've spend just shy of 2 grand last month getting it immaculate so it's ready to be sold. I'm going to attempt to buy it back, as the Turnini's/Recaros/Sachs/Spoiler etc are all in...

What car from the RS range for £4.5k?

Sorry mate, not had chance to get around to it yet. I'll fire you across something at the weekend.

    RB or Trophy

Meh, 1*2's aren't luxuary cars, no matter how many auto features/much leather you throw at it. Creature comfort's should be a welcome extra on them, rather than models getting dismissed due to the lack of them.

    RB or Trophy

Nope. They're essentially a 182 cup with expensive trick bits.

    A few from Blackpool

Great shots! I always wonder how people like this get jobs though. Mentals.

Full correction / protection (Pic heavy)

Love it. Like really, really. Much prefer it on the silver wheels too!

    RB or Trophy

So it being common makes it a crap colour? Surely, if all 500 were made in white, it would be just as common? Ergo = just as crap?

    RB or Trophy

LOL! I love that analogy! You've essentially just branded all those who say that the colour is wrong as racists, btw.

    RB or Trophy

It's the same one that came in the cup mate. Easy enough swap though. It's thrown together, in the same sense that NBA All Star teams are thrown together.

Did you think of that all by yourself, or did your carer help? ;) Seriously though, are you just trolling, or would you like to enlighten me as to why it's so bad?
  12. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

RB is a nicer colour, agreed. But capsicum is far from 's**t', as the bloke above put in such a coherent way. Didn't see you at CSS Ed! You could've had a drive out in mine mate! Then bought it...

Insurance - Do you lose NCB?

Oh c'mon Ollie. We once had a claim where someone had managed to set fire to a Smart Car in a petrol station by putting fuel in the heater vents. Make of that what you will. But yeah, when I was in sales nothing ever made me 'laugh myself to tears' when taking details/giving quotes. Other than...

Insurance - Do you lose NCB?

It's insurer dependent, but generally you lose them after not having a policy of your own for two years. I've heard of some being one year, though, so go careful and check with your insurance company. PNCB has nothing to do with whether you take a 'break' with insuring a car or not, it only...

CSS Survey - A few points to note.

I'm a spastic and forgot to bring the voucher, but must've been overcharged if you only paid the equivelent of £4.50. 9 quid for me for the same 'meal', lol! The chips were awesome though, was well happy when I saw the bird bring out a fresh batch.

Less extras? Really? Half leather rear seats and poor xenons (which I haven't fitted, FYI). I'll take the Sachs and recaros, thanks.
  17. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

Cheers mate. Completely agree btw. That picture was it on 80k ish, it's on 90k now and just as fresh. Condition > Milage. It also may be up for sale...;)

    RB or Trophy

Nothing wrong with the colour when it's looked after... :o
  19. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

Yup. All that weight added from when I put in the much better looking half leather rear bench means that it won't **** a rear wheel now...

Ate half, sold it on later to get coilovers for a ham sandwich.

    Cool pictures of my ///M3

Can't stand the pics but love the car mate.

I remember having to take a loan out for a pork baguette at Combe once, lol.

CSS Survey - A few points to note.

I reckon the guys complaining are the blokes who sat in their car all day playing on their iPads. Genuinely saw that, too.

    My Z4 (E85)

Lovely looking car, the colour is stunning. I'm not a fan of the CSL's on them though, but Rob knows that already. I'd love one tbh!

CSS Survey - A few points to note.

I can't really remember driving back. Iirc, that's bad.
  26. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

I wouldn't say a far better job really mate. Fit xenon's and half-leather rear bench/doorcards. Done. Compared to the MK3 'specials', the Trophy is astonishing, lol! Drive one (buy mine!) and you'll be a convert, trust me ;)
  27. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

Meh, I can't be bothered. Only thing I will say is that the xenon headlights from a 1*2 aren't quite as wonderful as you think. In fact, they're pretty pony. OP. Drive the Trophy and see what you think. It's a better car IMO, but whether it's worth the extra over a normal is down to personal...

    RB or Trophy

How is 'who cares if the Trophy handling is better....' a fact, exactly? Also, 'rubbish red'. Those sound like opinions to me. Standard for standard, the Trophy is a better car. RB is arguably a better colour.
  29. Hixle

    RB or Trophy

Ah, a completely un-biased opinion there.
