I was the first 172 customer of Hayward & Scott They did me a 6 x 1 oval tailpipe exactly to my requirements. It fitted very neatly under the bumper as I was not keen on the usual Retail rear boxes that where being fitted at that time.
A very fine service, yes, it may have been a little "Old...
If I had a CUP. I would probably be toasted by many cars especially a 172. I aint no super driver so anyone with a tiny bit of skill would cane me in a CUP. The small fraction of advantage a CUP has on paper, would easily be forgotten by a half decent driver just changing gear a bit sooner...
Ah I remember now. but mega problem.
New PC and havent set up all the stuff yet to get the pics copied back on my local drive from the server.
Best to email 172Cup for a copy of them for now.
I have seen this quite a few times, only for brief periods though. ( but thats a left hooker ) Believe me theres no way on earth I would be taking a picture of it. Doing that kind of speed is "different" not all together fun.
At that speed in a V6 the dials may well be steady but I can assure...

When I had my 172 I complained lots about it not getting far enough up the top end. After about 2k miles there was no problems. After that it just seemed a totally super car, improving with every new mile.
Im not a great weight ( 57 kilos ) but my car is heavier than the 172s. So at 230bhp + 1335 kgs + me. It might work out at some figure or other.
Just off to learn how to count beyond 10 be back soon............
A guy in some sort of Scooby with those new ugly headlights, wanted a wee blast, so I obliged. He seemed to have quite a bit of pull from about 70 to 110 but after that he was fading away behind me. ( but not by miles )
In a cue at the roundabout he shouted over " I didnt want to waste petrol...
Because I think the CUP is a nice colour.
Most boyracers dont even bother trying it on at the lights, but I feel if I had a CUP, then I might get all that "Ive got a sporty wee car" nonsence again.
I even hinted to my wife that I might consider spending a few bob and getting a CUP aswell...
Ask your local parts dept if the CUP ECU is different they will at least tell you it has a different part number. Better to ask higher up to get spec differences. After all just one example is a Jaguar brake pedal switch is a different part no to a Mini one, but they are exactly the same thing...
I like the sound on NoS but I hear so many horror stories of people upping the boost ? and blowing their car up.
Is this only when it is manaully boosted ? or does an NoS system have an auto switch off limit gadget thingy wotsit?
Why dont some car maufacturers install NoS as standard?
A mate of mine asked me what the 0-60 was on my car? I said
" Its something or other" Oh he said, I suppose it depends on how fast you can count to 60.
He asks "What was the most important thing about your car that made you buy it"?
"I cant count past 10" I answered.
Only my personal opinion of course, but last night on the A127, I was following something that just about resembled a Clio.
This car was all a kind of dull poorly sprayed silver. I dont know if it was supposed to be a 172 as most of it was covered up by a big fat kit. The original rear bumper...
