It's insane what a difference an alignment makes! I changed TRE's and the top mount bearings so camber was all over the place. It felt really light at 70 and just horrible to drive. Took it for an alignment and it was spot on afterwards.
You can access it under the glovebox without removing anything. It's pretty fiddly! If you can use a screwdriver to make the initial incision, then empty a pen out and push this into the hole. From here you can feed the power cable through the pen.
TBH its easiest just to drill the bulkead.
The problem is access. You dont have a lot of it on 95% of things. If a hubnut is so corroded a m12 wont work I'd be going for the breaker and taking my time.
