£1500 for a standard cat d 172 seems well over the top to me. You could probably have got a similar car that wasn't a write off for the same price. However, its not a great deal of money so i wouldn't worry about it.

Can you even drive that thing? Love the car, but i'm not sure those wheels do it any favours - they need to be smaller and wider!

That looks a bit strange - heres my racelands.

I wound my coilovers down yesterday and ever since the steering seems to have gone really light with a fair amount of movement on the steering wheel. My tyres are nearing the end of their life, the edges are fairly worn which i guess won't help. What else would cause this and what can i check...

I had the omp ones with some side mounts on a cobra imola. probably the cheapest solution if you don't need to move the seat frequently.

Introduced to 172s in 2003 i beleive. Cruise is useful but esp is a waste of time.
