is the battery light coming on whilst the car is running??
bit off topic sorry, but i had random dash lights coming on when i braked,
the lights warning beeped came on if i opened the door with the hazards on :S
it was just the rear light conection had corroded,
like allyrs sais,
just start...
well to be fair, mine didnt come all the way out,
it came out slightly, and the rubber thing popped off, so it dumped all the gearbox oil
we just popped it back over and put a new clip on it,
doesnt the battery light come on if the ignition is on and not the battery??
cz mines always on if the engine isnt.
does it turn over??
it cud be anything,
feul pump,
distibutor (or just the cap)
crank sensor,
or could just the battery getting old.
it does say in the haynes manual
BE CAREFUL OF THE DRIVESHAFT WHEN REMOVEING THE STRUT
and god knows how many times i said it to my m8 before he pulled it out
its easy to do so jst be very carful n try to support it n ull be fine
i did the exact same thinkg lol,
well to be precise my m8 popped my drive shaft out,
we kind of want at the job with no idea what we was doing,
by tbh, you dont really need that much oil in ur gearbox, we leeked 3l out of 3.5, and it didnt crunch though any gears, needless to say i took it easy...
rears a 5 second job,
fronts are complicated,
i did mine myself,
unless you know what ur doin, i wudnt bother doing it urself,
but i wudnt pay a garage to do it,
me and my m8 did it without the first clue what we were doing,
worked out alright in the end, but he did manage to pop the driveshaft...
Has anyone had any experience with these
in reference to the police side of things??
do they turn a blind eye and tell you to take them off?
or they like to throw the book at you for it??
thinking of gettin a smallish one, but dont fancy 3points
Ive been told if you have seatbelt pretentioners,
and you take them off, then your airbag and service light come on,
ive fitted buckets and harnesses into my car,
but now am unsure what to do with the seatbelt clips,
so theyre currently under the seat,
further more, i want to change the...
yup, we put them on before, only problem was the calliper comes ul slightly higher than the hub, so some 5mm spacers will be going on at the same time
its only a 1.2 8v so its got tiny brakes
i guess its a product of living in essex :(
im puttin 13" x 7.5" minilights on it next week,
and plan to take the stickers and sun strip off some time soon,
would like to take the bonnet raisers off, but it would mean loosing my strut brace, might try and get some smaller ones
gosh, didnt...
cheers guys, should have them on next week, without the exhause and splitter, how much could i lower it and still drive it every day??
can anyone recomend a coilies kit?
the bonnet raises came about because i bought a strut brace that was meant to fit 'all clios'
like hell did it, it was too high and put alot of strain on the bonnet catch not to mention a small dent in the bonnet,
so i fort id jst sling some raisers on there, worked a treat,
ahh we all start...
basically, my situation,
got a set of bsa paragons 17" rims,
sanded down ready for primering,
however, ive had to put them back on the car because the wheels i had on the car have been taken back by theyre rightful owner :(
now im lookin at other options,
so do i either
Conform
Paint the 17s...
id say the motorway is the safest place for your car,
its where the roads are the smoothest by far,
and there are no sharp corners,
jst take it easy and stay on the ball,
as for the speed aspect, im sure you drive at similar speeds on other PRIVATE TEST TRACKS where the road is in a similar...
Please tell me what you think, owned the car from standard, lots of my time spent lol
