Cheers for all the nice comments guys, yes i bought it off Ollie from on here, top lad and sweet car. Alot has already been done to it but iwant to add my own touches to get it exactly how i want it.
i bloody love it.
Well after a long long search for a car and many changes of heart i finally found a tidy Ph1 Iceburg 172.
Originally i had been searching within 100 mile radius but then this popped up and ticked all the boxes, i had to travel quite far but was well worth it.
Bought it last weekend and on...
it was just a thought i was just having so thought i'd ask, if you're not interested mate nobody is forcing you to participate, the forum has lots and lots of different threads/posts you can look at/comment on.
following an earlier thread i think i will be needed a new battery for my 172 immanently, any ideas of best place to buy from apart from the obvious likes of Halfrauds etc?
Since buying my car on the weekend and fueling up before the journey back i thought i'd see how many miles i'd get from a full tank.
Checked on my way this morning and the bloody counter has reset itself, how on earth does it do that?
I'm not a violent person but if i caught someone in the act of something similar to this i'd have to hit them, problem is they'd get away with theiving but you'd get done for hitting them. Crazy!!!
Received my KTR Coilovers yesterday and am hoping a mate can fit them on the weekend.
Car currently has Compbrake Topmounts, just wanted to know before hand whether anyone else has the same setup on a Ph1 172?
thanks
Lee
I'm all for getting as much as you can for a sale but i also agree with being fair, if you agree a viewing with someone you shoudl at least allow them to do so first before agreeing to any more especially prior to the original agreement.
Granted he may have previously agreed with the guy who...
To be honest i'd always drive/get a lift rather than use public transport as that way you simply don't go if anything changes and aren't out of pocket.
Well i sold my Teg to a chap who travelled from Holland!!
And if someone suddenly turned up on my doorstep (highly unlikely considering private sales don't work like that) i'd have not let the car go until the Dutch chap had looked at it first.
If you've agreed a viewing then commen courtesy...
Sod off, put yourself in the guys shoes - you saying you'd simply shrug it off?
Thats crap mate, what an asshole - if someone came to buy it that quickly i'd imagine it was lined up when you were organising travelling, even if he told you that there was another person coming to view you'd have...
I had a gash on my front bumper of my old teg, got it repaired and resprayed for £270 - MINT job aswell, amazing colour match seeing as the car was nearly 12 years old.
