It's a 182 with the cup pack suspension, cups only came in Racing Blue and Inferno Orange.
Anyway, even though the springs look to be the correct ones something is quite obviously wrong somewhere! Have you had them back off to double check everything?
In theory it should work with any drive supported natively by the motherboard. It's a very lightweight piece of software that runs straight off of a USB/disc.
I've used Easus Disk Copy in the past and had no problems with it. Made an exact copy of my boot drive onto a new one and it ran fine on the new drive.

I thought mine was all aligned properly as you could see the correct colour.
You need to make sure the tabs are horizontal, then just take it for a drive.
If that doesn't work it's likely knackered.

On a serious note, well done for having a go yourself and sticking at it.
As it's now behaving itself I would definitely recommend trying windows 10 again. It really isn't hard to get used to and runs like a dream on a half decent pc.
