Fitted new rear brake pads, completely unplanned as I wasn't expecting the grinding noise to appear yesterday.
New discs etc next month and a new calliper to go with it as I can't see it lasting long. Good job I had my old piston wind in tool!

For just watching films and browsing the internet then you shouldn't need anything more than the built in graphics.
Of course if you was feeling brave you could always build your own, better spec for the same money.
The GPU is the GFX card.
I just wondered why you put one on the list when you won't be using it for gaming, the one chosen is actually worse than using intels built in graphics on the processor.
It's like a daily driver having a gradual nut and bolt resto.
You definitely have more patience than me when working on cars, although having your work to use must help!
I used the crucial website last year and put 16gb in mine, cost about £60 at the time.
Same spec MacBook as yours @.Adam.
