Funny enough, I went from, granted, old worn 197 non cup suspension to new 200 cup suspension all round and its BONE BREAKING on the road, a few occasions I've driven hard down a backroad and questioned if I made the right choice or if I ruined it!
I then fitted a new 200 cup rack, and other...
I see on the RSTuner website you can buy the licence for the mk3 clio to read the EPS controller and configure it etc.
The website states:
Can this also be calibrated via Clip? - Reason I ask is my 197 non cup has been converted to full 200 cup spec and I didn't realise the EPS had a...
Also something I never expected, a tech at my old work checked the gap on every plug he fitted one week and more than 50% of them were wrong straight out the box!
Register on the virgin media forum, post your problem up and generally a moderator who works for VM will PM you asking a few details and will arrange to have a new hub sent out in the post, saves dealing with their nonsense on the phone (feel your pain with that!) - Thats been my go to source of...
as mentioned above a misfire is never really cured by a good run. As Brigsy said, if plugs have never been done, its a great place to start as its not going to cause any harm and isn't going to brake the bank. - Coils are also common on these engines, I had a tiny intermittent misfire on my 197...
SOLD pending collection, it's going to Leeds, I'm meeting the new owner in Edinburgh to drop the car off with him next weekend. a gentleman who's son also has a 182 so seems it's going to a good home!
Sold for £3500 which is bonkers cheap id have thought but it was the only bid!
a cable clutch will always be heavier than a hydraulic clutch, that's why hydraulic clutches exist.
a 172/182 with a new clutch and new cable is absolutely fine to drive, and its once they get into their life cycle they get heavy and creaky.
I'm not sure why you posted this here if your not...
that's got me stumped!!! There isn't much to the system so in that case id just stick a pump on it they are usually only a few quid and take less than 5 minutes to swap
if you're getting a dribble, pull the rubber hose off the washer jets under neath the bonnet and run the pump and see what the flow is like. If you get nice even flow it's the washer jets that are blocked, if you get uneven flow from one pipe, it's that pipe that's blocked and they will usually...
most times a broken spring doesn't make any noise or knocks if its just fractured down near the botom where its common to do so, its only if it snaps in half half way up the spring etc where it dislodges it out from the top/bottom mount
for the 5 minutes it takes i would just stick a pair of eBay used springs in, cost about £15 delivered! take it for a retest then swap back out, assuming your happy the rear springs you have are not going to actually fall out on the road lol or just make a wooden spacer and pop them in to really...
as above,
lock everything then loosen all pulleys, remove timing end locking tool, replace dephaser, belt, idler, tensioner etc.
set tensioner, torque cam pulleys to 30nm and lower to 80nm, unlock everything, turn engine over by hand a couple of times.
lock it all again and make sure the...
same mate, i know this was a part service history, needing a bit of work car but for over a month there, it was the cheapest 200 for sale bar none! and that's with no blowing manifold flexis, no swivel hub failure, no gearbox issues and a fresh belt change! i felt that was priced fair! So into...
Was up for £4500 with no bites! Went on eBay auction starting at £3500 and never sold! what am I missing?
It's now about to become my daily beater as I'm not giving it away!
