Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra
This has so much potential to become Epic, keep up the good work I look forward to seeing it progress!
Ill take you out in my 1.2 see if we can change that theory!!
If you want more power buddy yoir going to need to go down the boost or engine conversion route
I noticed a massive difference in people moving out my way when i fitted hid's to my gt dci, was no longer a problem but they were in projectors so looked factory i always assumed it was because people assumed it was a rep mobile tanking down the outside
this is looking really good, the new wheels look brilliant at that ride height.
colourcoded door handles, wing mirrors and your new rs spoiler will look good!
I see what you mean, the airbox is removable on this one its not part of the rocker cover just bolts onto it/inlet manifold cant remember years since ive worked on one.
on the later engines the airbox is part of the engine cover and all comes off in one go
EDIT: curious how much digging you...
There should only be 2 different engines. Pre pre 04 plate with grey engine cover and airbox with air feed to the right of the engine and then 04 onwords with black engine cover and airbox is part of that engine cover, air feed goes in at an angle near the middle of the engine.
Then theres...
it was 2004 they changed them with the facelift, although there are 53 plate facelifts with the older engine!
apparently the newer engine is better, I don't like either of them lol!!
They use a different inlet manifold, throttle body, rocker cover and im possitive a different ecu i recon you could be asking for trouble with that swap but itz worth a try while your there i suppose!
