It might do. Like I said before. I've never heard of the immobiliser light staying on continously.
Having said that. My 182 died on a supermarket car park. There was no indication there was a problem with the battery, it was the original battery though and 8 years old. It had been starting OK...
I'd try the new battery on the car first. It could just be something as simple as an old battery not holding enough charge and this cold weather will be affecting it even more.
So it never flashes? What does it do when the ignition is off and you lock the car?
Ive never heard of the light staying on continously before.
Maybe you could get a picture or video if it's visible enough.
How old is the car battery?
Is it a flashing red light? That's the immobiliser. That's the only light you should see on the instrument panel when the ignition is off.
Can't help with your battery drain. Have a look for user @DomP182 and his posts. You might find some helpful information there.
There must have been alot of s**t salesmen if they couldn't squeeze another £395 out of the buyers. For less than a grand you could have had both cup packs and Recaros.
Like @Touring_Rob says.i don't have a problem with the size of the steering wheel. You'll be lucky if find one were the thumb grips haven't split ( these can easily be replaced) or the steering wheel hasn't melted. It's common.
The first time I got into a 172 nearly 20 years ago I thought I was...
That's the one thing I never liked when I had. 172, the wheels. Strange you should say about the size of the wheels . I think exactly the same about the 182 wheels, the seem to look bigger than 16".
Mines been my daily for 15 years when I bought it new. I still love driving it.
There were 2 Cup pack options when new.
1. Was the front splitter and cup spoiler.
2. Was anthracite coloured wheels instead of the standard silver which indicated that it also had slightly lower, stiffer...
I'd offer £2500 with the aim to meet somewhere in the middle. I'd also want to see some interior pics especially of the drivers seat, the bolsters can wear quite badly.
You can't actually buy them new anymore. But if you get hold of some second springs, yes they can. They were fitted as standard to 182 with 1 of the cup packs.
If its misfiring and you've got the eml light on it'll be more than likely an injector or all 4.
Ive had a misfire for the last couple of weeks and the engine management light flashing. It was on the original injectors and pre cat lambda, 97k miles. New ones fitted on Tuesday and it's running...
Check your battery earth and gearbox earth. My earths are all good so I don't know why mines does this.
I've had mine 15 years and it's done this for probably the last 3 years.
So yours only does it after being left overnight and it's cold outside?
Try leaving the engine running for 3 or 4...
Maybe a bad earth?
I have weird thing that happens to my 182 after sitting overnight, but only if its cold and showing 5 degrees or less.
I usually leave the car to idle for a few mins to warm up, but if I don't and drive off more or less straight away the auto door lock comes on, the dashboard...
Thanks @M90SR genuine Bosch fitted yesterday after eml light flashing and random misfire.
Also fitted 4 new genuine Magneti Marelli injectors. The 182s running smooth as silk now :)
Have you had a code reader on it? I've had my engine light flashing like Blackpool illuminations for the last 2 weeks and code P0300 random misfire. But I was getting a distinct smell of fumes and unburnt fuel inside the car.
It struggled through the emissions test back in September.
I changed...
Good shout about the undertray or maybe even a wheel arch liner.
I had the wheel arch liner scraping after a garage had done some work and not fastened it back properly. I thought one of the wheels was gonna fall off lol
