    Clio 172 sleeper project

    What made you go for ebc discs and pads? They're not a popular choice for 1*2s. I had them on a Pug 306 S16 back in the 90s and the discs warped like f**k. Having said that, the pads seemed ok with very little brake dust.

    Painting 182 interior door handles?

    Soak them in Dettol overnight and the rubber coating just peels off. They'll need a good wash and dry afterwards, make sure they're grease free and clean then prime with plastic primer before painting and lacquering. I never actually got round to finishing mine...

    Yozzasport -> PMS exhaust

    If I was getting a new exhaust I'd probably go for a PMS. But I'm happy enough with the Yozza.

    Yozzasport -> PMS exhaust

    Yeah . Had it on my 182 for about 12 years or so. I always have music on in the car so don't really hear it.

    Help - 182 blowers not working

    I haven't had chance to look today as it's not stopped pissing down. I don't suppose you have the part number for a 182 with air con ? It seems there are quite a few different ones some for air con some for none air con.

    Help - 182 blowers not working

    @andy_con . Did you sort your fan problem out, replace it? I think my fans going titsup. It was making a bit of a rattling sound and I could smell a burning plastic smell. Resistors fine as I have full control over the speed.

    Quick question

    Soak the sticky rubber coated interior parts in Dettol overnight and the coating just dissolves. https://cliosport.net/threads/interior-grab-handles-switch-surrounds.800594/#post-11241115

    Values of Nice Examples increasing

    They seem to sell alot of high end motors like Bm' s, Audis .......... They probably thought they'd got themselves a bit of a golden nugget with the 182 and now can't shift it. I'd love to know exactly how much they paid for it.

    My BG182 Clio Revamp

    The tips on my Yozza were constantly dirty and sooty. Every now and then I would clean them with autosol and wire wool. I bought some Carpro cquartz dlux last year to seal my headlights after polishing them. I thought why not try to seal the exhaust tips with the dlux. What a difference it made...

    My BG182 Clio Revamp

    Wow, amazing write up Darren. I totally understand you not wanting to give up on the old girl after nearly 16 years of ownership. Should be good for another 16 years now :) You're a little bit ahead of me , I've only had my 182 for 14 years and 4 months lol.

    Birchdown or Diamond motors. I've used both. 6 hour round trip for me to Diamond motors only about 3 hours to Birchdown. Both will sort out any problems or jobs that need doing with no BS. Whichever you use you'll probably have to wait a few weeks as they're both usually very busy.

    182 cobra exhaust

    It looks ok. The proof of the pudding will be when you've fitted it. I've been on CS for 15 years and it's the first time I've heard of a Cobra exhaust.

    Alternator belt came off while driving!!

    Quick update. Got the car back . New aux belt fitted and coolant topped up. The top bolt in the alternator had completely come out and the bottom one had come loose. Very strange. I'll be driving it tentatively for a while until I'm 100% confident everything was put back together as it should...

    Help please heat shield

    I doubt you'll find any in decent condition tbh. Mine have big penny washers and CT1 sealant holding them in place. Get him to measure round them on some paper and make your own like you mentioned out of nimbus or something similar.
