Of course they'll rebook you in and check it out . It's a Renault recall , they'll be footing the bill not the dealership . Just get it sorted , sooner rather than later . Why risk it ?
You're sure you booked it in ? But can't remember when or where lol ? If you have the recall letter just ring your local dealer , get it booked in " again " and make note of the date then turn up . Better than risking your bonnet flying open and potentially writing off your car or worse :S
Your alarm will only tell you if your bonnet isn't actually closed . Not that the catch has actually operated as it should and is holding the bonnet locked in place . Hope you get some joy out of Renault , but i doubt it . Like they've never acknowledged that there is an issue with the steering...
I've always lubricated my bonnet catch on a regular basis . It wasn't showing much signs of rust and i thought it was operating as it should , although on the odd occasion it never popped up as it should . Having taken it in due to the 2nd recall and having a new bonnet catch fitted FOC a few...
In the long run it's probably a god send that the welds broke on the nuts . Looks a much sturdier job now , better than what Renault originally did :-) It's unbelievable just how weak the original rubbers are and the state they are in when you take them off , what a crap design . Did line up the...
Nice one . That powerflex bush should outlive the car lol ;-) You ended up replacing the torx head bolts then ? I guess it's different on a 172 as you look like you've replaced them with nuts and some studs ?
£25 ? Ebay £6.45 , they're all crap quality rubber inside . Or just get a Powerflex exhaust mount , and replace the rubber inside your old one £6.33 delivered .

Top idea . Just went out to have a look , cracked all 8 nuts on both brackets . I used an 11mm socket though lol ? :S 2 were a bit rusty the other 6 were ok but i'll replace them with stainless nuts and copper slip em ya said .
The torx bolt and nut just come off then i take it ? I'll replace...
Nice one . I think i'll have to go down that route too , removing the whole lot not just the brackets . Is the mounting that holds the brackets easy to remove ?
Hi . They're a pain in the arse to get out eh ? Last time i change the brackets about 2 years ago i never had a problem getting the bolts out , this time they've really rusted in though . That's why i wanted to know the size of the bolts in the likely event they'd be no use once i got em out . I...
I'm off to work at 5.20 in the morning with my Yozza and Decat burbling away nicely . I bet the neighbours love me lol . I've never had em banging on my door though :S
Apparently you can drive it for the first 5 days of the month while your waiting for your new tax disc to arrive . But you must display your old invalid tax disc . After 5 days , it's an offence . But you'd be unlucky to be stopped unless some eagle eyed traffic warden clocks you .
Yeah you will . You're allowed to drive for up to 5 days without displaying your new tax disc . Better get your skates on as it takes about 5 days for it to arrive .
Snapped on my Galaxy S3 back in January this year while sitting outside work early one morning . Thought the sky looked amazing . Not bad for a phone pic :D
I've never had a problem burning cd's and playing them on my standard head unit . I use Ritek discs , always have done . I use either Nero or Cdburnerxp .If you're getting cd error it's not able to read the disc so i'd try a different brand of disc .
Free to download from here . Don't be...
I've no experience of Tom Tom on Android , but a guy at work installed Sygics on my phone . It uses Tom Toms maps , free updates , all the maps you want...... . It's a dodgy copy ;) It's absolutely spot on :D Just another option for ya .

But running a decat and having the warning light on doesn't put the car into limp mode . Iirc it's only if you have any kind of fault with the pre cat sensor .
Me too . They need to either find a replacement or reimburse you for the cost of a new cover . I always used to take mine off before i took it a garage in case they tried to pull off the oil cover and broke the clip , then i'd replace it when i got the car home .
