Both my imports had the VIN number displayed on the dash , on the passenger side .
The later 182's didn't have etched windows , i'm not sure if the earlier ones had or not .
Correct , there is an easy way of knowing . Ring Renault customer services . Give them the vin number and they will tell you, and it's all free ;) Kiddo :quiet:
It seems there are alot of people on here who know jack sh1t about imports . If people want to pay over the odds for the same car then that's their prerogative . :clown:
Does an H.P.I check actually tell you a cars an import ? And i mean a " Brand New Import " , not a second hand import ...
Not if you sell it private like i did with mine ;) Alot of Renault dealerships are clueless when it comes to there own cars so i would imagine a Ford dealership knows even less , and don't realise that they are exactly the same car produced in the same factory .
That said i also paid £1500...
I always layer mine , i very rarely use the same wax twice when layering .
Try some collinite 845 , just as good as the 476 but hell of alot easier to apply / remove . Or Collinite # 925 boat wax .
Firstly , it sounds like a bit of a s**t warranty you have if it only covers the motor and not the regulator , as like you said . it's all one unit . When one goes it all needs replacing .
Was it replaced with a brand new motor and regulator ? If so , it will come with a 12 months guarantee ...
Have you just changed your oil ? When you dropped the oil some of it might have spilt onto the foam therefore it's dripping a couple of drops everyday .
Mine once got cover in oil when i dropped the oil out of mine ,i couldn't be assed to clean it off so i got a few spots of oil on the...
I have the Philips silvervisions in mine , been in about 2 years now and still working fine . Not the cheapest i know but sometimes its better to pay a little bit more for quality .

Why people take their cars for an MOT when they " expect " it to fail is beyond me  especially for the sake of a few quid on some new brake pads !
The bulbs are called 501 , W5W , wedge or capless . They are all the same bulb but with a different name . They are the same as the sidelight bulbs and some interior bulbs .
This is just an example on ebay , i can't vouch for the qaulity ...
I'm not that clued up on small claims courts , maybe some people on here have some experience of it . I would assume if you won that any costs incurred by yourself would be paid by the dealer if you won . Maybe a search on google will give you a bit of an idea . Sometimes local solicitors offer...
Your grid position: 91 out of 121 postcodes

I don't see how this works . I'm BB3 and my mate is BB6 , i got a quote on my 182 from his postcode and it was £160 less than from my postcode .
Tbh i'd never buy a car from a dealer that only gives a 2 week warranty . It doesn't instill much confidence that the cars they sell are decent quality . Sounds like you've got a catalogue of problems that need fixing . Sometimes buying a cheap motor doesn't always turn out to be the bargain you...
It should light up as you turn the ignition on then go out straight away with all the other lights .
It's actually in the owners manual on page 1.49 ;)
Of course the PH2 172 came with auto wipers .
Do a search for gel pack walshyclio , if you've had a replacement windscreen then it might not have the gel pack . See the pic .The gel pack looks like a few blobs of clear silicone sealant .
