Is it best to disconnect the battery when you're degreasing and hosing the engine? I will only have the hose set to fine spray.:) Gonna put some foil over the main electrical bits.

Yeh, when wipers are on auto they'res hardly any difference. Look in the handbook and it tells you how to disable auto, then you operate wipers manually and will be able to adjust the intermittent wipe to your hearts content:D

Sensitivity for wipers if they're on Auto, or speed of intermittent wipe if Auto is off. IIRC:approve:

Its a pity people couldnt stick to the original idea of the thread insofar as using it as a tool for counting how many we have in the club/forum. Using numbers 36, 69, 200 etc doesnt help if we havent counted up that far. Sorry to be a killjoy, just my opinion.:o

Yeah they look good mate. I'd like mine matched sometime. You should disconnect yr battery for a bit then whack some 99 ron in though. Just to satisfy any curiosity. I reckon its well worth the extra cash at the pumps.

Black 172 spotted on Friday afternoon in heavy traffic on M62 near XScape, Leeds. Roll gage, stripped back seats by the look of it and very low! Looked great:D

2" nominal bore mild steel pipework. Thats about 53 to 54mm outside diameter. If you have a stainless one fitted they are generally 2" outside dia if you have a direct equivalent. Others may be 2.25" o/d [57.15mm] or 2.5" o/d [63.5mm] Sounds like yours is 2.25" if its stainless.:)

Had mine done with the cambelt and service at GDI last week. Top job Andy/Mark/Carl by the way:cool: The bolt was MISSING on mine:eek: Hence the extra £55 to pull the assembly out and replace. FF are more difficult than the cup IIRC as it powers the aircon.
