    which tyres?

Contis are pretty good Ben , but as others have said , Pe2's are where it's at . Much better grip in the wet imo :) None of them lasted that long for me though . The contis i had on the front of my 172 lasted 7.5k miles , the Pe2's on my 182 lasted 8k miles

Clio's big brother - been here a week so thought I should post some pics

Looks sweet mate , lovely colour . Tbh i quite like the F1 decals on the front and back , just not sure about the ones on the roof tho' . I'll say it before someone else does . Is the left side tailpipe slightly skew whiff or is it just the angle of the pic ?

    Black Trim

Try wd40 , thats what i use for black trim . Once you've got white wax marks on your black plastic trim its virtually impossible to get off unless you use a solvent like turps . All the products you see like autoglym bumper care just mask the marks for a short while then they return . If your...

    LINES

You've probably got the worse colour of the lot for showing up swirl marks mate .They are pretty much unavoidable after a while but black shows them up the more , silvers probably the best for hiding them .

    Very Strong Wheel Cleaner

Fairy power spray . Spray it on , leave it to dwell for a few minutes then power wash it off . Best stuff i've used . Also another good alloy cleaner is the Blue rim and wheel cleaner from carwashnwax . http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/product_p/bluerim.htm

    Side repeaters

Not sure if they will fit , but i have these smoked ones with chrome side repeaters that flash orange . I think they match the colour of the alloys better imo . http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/renault_clio_mk2_side_repeaters.html

    1*2 alloy pedals

Get a cordless drill and a 3 or 4mm drill bit and drill out the centre of the rivet , then pull the alloy pedal cover off , but watch you dont bend it cos they are only thin .If it feels like its glued on it'll be all the s**t underneath sticking it down . Give it a good yank .

    Pic Request - 172

Get a flame red mate , much nicer and alot more rare than the black and silver ones .
  22. MRBILLYUK

    1*2 alloy pedals

They are actually alloy pedal covers and they are riveted on to the pedals underneath .Afaik you'll be ok with the brake and clutch pedal cover but on your car you have a plastic accelerator pedal under your rubber .

Xenons on side lights off... the options

I honestly can't see why people would want to take out their sidelights :S As for it being an improvement ! What improvement ?? They're 2 quid each mate . The drivers side one is the one that's a b*****d to change , especially if you have big hands , lol , cos of the pipework for the aircon...

    Tyre Pressures

For a start it just says PE2's so i assumed it was for a 182 . Also it doesn't say what fitment 195's as in the 172 or 205's as in the 182 . Either way the recommened tyre pressure for a 172 and 182 is 33 front and 30 rear , whether it be PE2's or Contis ;) I assume you haven't got an owners...

    Tyre Pressures

I'm sure the original question was about the tyre pressures for Michelin PE2's ;) not personal preferences or other brands of tyre ;) Like mark5290 says , the recommended pressure for " PE2's " is 33 front and 30 rear :rasp:

Would this be "good" beading??! (*** big images*** )

Theres no good or bad beading or ideal beading size lol . Beading just means you've got plenty of wax on helping to protect your paintwork from the elements , therefore the water runs off rather than sitting on the bodywork leaving waterspots , also " helps " to protect from bird s**t , tar...
