How are you going to get dirt in the engine ? I use a clean funnel to pour the oil in so there's absolutely no risk of any dirt getting in the engine ;)
I used to use comma in my 172 all the time . I used to change it every 6k .

It doesn't matter what oil you put in . The more miles the engine as done the more old oil / sediment will be left in the sump so when you put in new oil...
There are 2 air feeds . One goes down to the acoustic valve ,down towards the wheel arch , the second air feed is alot shorter and just clips into the bracket next to the battery .It turns and locks in place . Try disconnecting your battery for 30 mins , then see if this makes a difference ...
They might replace it under the warranty , having a different exhaust linked to it " might " cause a problem , depends on the dealership though , some are more helpful than others .
Just be civil with them until they tell you what they will do . If they do kick up a fuss about your...
Nice one Dan . Looks like you've done a good job there mate . Alot cheaper than paying to have em refurbed eh ;) Did you use the metallic filler i mentioned , the Upol D Metallic Filler ?
I always thought if you didn't have rear seats you didn't need the seat belts as its pretty obvious nobody is going to be sat in the back .
If thats the case . Why didn't they tell you this before they started to do the MOT . Are they blind , if you got no rear seats they should have said it...
I wouldn't bother with a remap if your only running a different cold air feed .You'd be better off getting the inlets matched and a decat before splashing out on a remap . But tbh mate i wouldn't expect any difference if you do run a different cold air feed .
They patch in on the inside .The only time when a tyre can't usually be repaired is when its in the sidewall as this would be dangerous .Any reputable tyre place will repair it or tell you it can't be repaired . But most of the time if its on the tread part of the tyre its a straight forward...
The megs lambswool mitts have a mesh on one side for removing bugs . Not all lambswool mitts are the same , some are just double sided lambswool with no mesh .Tbh though once its cleaned and waxed the bugs should come off with just washing using a lambswool mitt .
^^^^ Like Alan says . Get it waxed n sealed . Next time the dried on bugs will come off easy .
You need to soak and rehydrate thedried on bugs to shift them . If they are really bad make a strongish mix of shampoo and water and spray the bugs and leave them to soak .It should make it easier...
Use 2 buckets to wash , using a lambswool washmitt . One with shampoo in and one bucket with clean water to rinse the dirty water off the washmitt . Then dry with a waffle weave towel .
I use autoglym super resin polish , then follow it with autoglym extra gloss protection . Then something...
Yeah the collinite is very good stuff . But tbh you sound like a right lazy b*****d when it comes to cleaning your car , lol, no offence mate ;)
If i was you i'd get my arse down to Halfords tomorrow ( this is the bit where i get slagged off , lol ) and get some of the Turtle wax , wax it...
^^^ Flux will want proof of a better quote . I just gave them the reference number privilege issued me with so they could check it was real . Plus privilege's excess was lower so Flux matched that also .
^^^^ Same here for me . I always pay it in one lump . But i always get a renewal quote off Adrain Flux that i have to ring up and confirm if i want to renew or not .
Plus i always send any kind of document by recorded delivery so i have proof that they have received it .
Try...
If your in Manchester like Fred said . I'd get down to Powerflow in Burnley . I paid £270 for a stainless catback stealth for my old 172 .They did a top job and i know a few other people on here have used them and rate their work as very good .

Free :bump: for you alex . Good stuff this Collinite 845 Insulator Wax , i like to alternate what wax i use and this is one i like using ,very easy on and off and lasts quite a while too :)
^^^ I was wonderin if it was that . I asked Guy from opieoils about flushing the engine before i change my oil and this was his reply :
Andy,
Thanks for the pm.
Dont bother with a flush, they can do more harm then good.
Just drain and replace, the synthetic will do all the cleaning...
