The Impreza picture and discussion thread

Oh. I'd better sell the car worth £1500 and buy a brand new small car to save myself £200 a year in road tax. This time next year I'll be a millionaire. Right ?

I don't get it. Avg. 25 vs 35mpg .. both high-RON. Hardly 65mpg diesel vs 15mpg petrol supercar :S Insurance, maybe £1-200 a year more expensive on the Impreza. Hardly world-ending. Tax, identical. Poss cheaper on Classic than 182s (£225 on the scoob this year for ref). Aside from...

    Im sorry but 7k

Who told you ? FLOL @ 20k. To do what ? Even if the car cost £19,000 originally .. he'd still have at least £900 left over after basically taking the body panels off. DER NERT UNDERSTAND.

    Insurance advice

What is so important about this particular car ? Why not get one when all is easy in November or later next year ?! Got any friends that can add it to a trade policy to please the bean counters and leave it on the driveway until you can take the policy as your own ?

    DA vs. Rotary ?

The vibrations never bothered me... can't say I really noticed them ? I think I'll buy a DA TBH.. maybe go Pro and work on the forearms (Hi JayDee x) What's the verdict on glazes with a rotary ? Big N-O ?

    DA vs. Rotary ?

I've lost/sold/misplaced my Kestral Das6. Literally no idea where it is.. But I want to get another one - if the old one turns up, I'll sell it. Or keep it. Who knows. Fancied a rotary for it's obvious benefits when polishing however it was pointed out that I couldn't use it for glazes...

    Massive Lacquer peel!

He (Tony) painted the front end of Dawn's 182 for < £300.. so I'd guess £100-200... but you'd have to call him as I've no idea dude.

    Massive Lacquer peel!

I would take that to ColourTone in Burnt Mills (Basildon) TBH. Remove bumper - sand - paint - lacquer.

    Recommend me a Laptop..

I think it's done through Google Docs but I don't really know any more than that TBH. MacBook + Open Office (or MS-O if you have to) would be my vote.

Google Chromebook ? Pretty sure you can view documents on there.. Failing that, 2nd hand 13" MacBook IMO.

PH1s are 100% FTW. Really really much nicer to drive than the PH2s.

    dark evenings ahead. headlight suggestions?

Are the lights dirty ? How many flies are on each side ? Which direction are you travelling in most of the time ?

    dark evenings ahead. headlight suggestions?

Bulbs are bulbs. I've not carried out a scientific survey to deduce the best luminance for every type of headlight :S I ran NBs in my Clio and I run them on my Scoob.

Why would the answer be any different........?

    dark evenings ahead. headlight suggestions?

I ran Osrams in my old ph1 - no HIDs .. were spot on. 100% better than the awful things that they came with. Properly dreadful.
