Could you put one at a friends/parents house - a NAS with remote access for example ? You could have one in yours for them - if they felt that way inclined - and you've both got a backup. Find a friend with Virgin or BT fibre .. might take you less than a month to sync haha :o

Have you driven either of the diesels ?! The 100 has the same torque output as the RS and still does 60+ mpg.

1.6 will feel 10% faster for about 24 hours... Go for a dCi 80 or 100... will feel faster and be much better on fuel. As for spending money on a nice standard car - mental. Don't bother. Put it in an ISA to pay for your RS insurance in a year or two's time..! Infact there's a dCi sport-rep...

It's to let air out when closing doors and keep gases from the outside (harmful exhaust stuff etc) getting in ! If you remove it, there's going to be an almighty hole in your bodyside. If you seal the hole up, good luck closing the doors without a fight. Closing efforts are dogsiht already...
