You will need the 172 cup alternator and associated brackets/fixings..
the Clio DCI steering rack is the one to fit when removing PAS..
You better pump those arms up if removing PAS though ;)
Brembo HC front discs... around £30 for each disc last time I checked
Standard Renault rear dics... come with new ABS ring and bearings pressed in £115 for a pair
Ferodo DS2500 front pads.. £94 delivered seems to be the going rate
Standard Bendix rear pads... £10 at a guess?
They can put you on a "modified car scheme"...
IIRC my car standard would of been £870 fully comp.
Modified... fully stripped, bucket seats, harnesses, exhaust, re-map, air filter set-up, uprated brakes, coilovers £659 fully comp.
I do not know how it works out to that figure, but that is...
You cannot "over tighten" the manifold to cat nuts iirc... the thread runs out before the head of the bolt!
Cat to centre section... make sure the joint is sealed correctly then get the nuts as tite as you can by hand
Re: Project 172 **** Update page 4 - Air filter located cup racer style ;)
I shall be very interested :D
Does Ben's car still run air-con? Will this be removed for ITB fitment?
Maybe Gray-Motorsport™ Will have to start trading again haha ;)
It took the guy 3 days to fabricate my frames... I shall try and ask him tomorrow if and when he can make another set?
A few iPhone images.. The camera's really do suck on them!! lol
The frame shown below is the drivers side..
I also machined two alloy spacers to go on each corner of the door side frame (Not shown above)..
As there is a 60mm step down from the exhaust tunnel side to door side, this...
The mounts I designed / had made are for the use of fixed bucket seats, I am running Cobra Imola GT's which are pretty wide seats... They just fit on the mount (reaching maximum width of the frame)
But I would be 99% sure you can attach any fixed bucket seats to the frames, as there are not...
Re: Project 172 **** Update page 4 - Air filter located cup racer style ;)
I thought you where going to say that, I shall look forward to the "report" :D
Re: Project 172 **** Update page 4 - Air filter located cup racer style ;)

PH-1 pedal box?????
Surely that is not a plug and play system, different TB, connectors, loom etc? :S
Tell me more!!
I have recently had a set of custom subframes made, really good quality..
They bolt directly to the floor pan, you cannot sit any lower ;)
I will take a few photos tomorrow and post them up!
The guy would also be willing to knock up a few more sets if there is any interest...
He does all/any...
You do have to take the drive shaft apart unfortunately, and build it back up with the new boot...
I think this is why most garages etc. fit a new shaft as the labour cost of repairing the old shaft out weighs the cost of a new shaft!
