You can buy a new boot... The same thing happened to my 172!
This seems to be a common misconception, the real reason is the amount of time (Labour) required to remove the shaft, fit the new boot, build the shaft back up and then re-fit actually works out more to be expensive than fitting a new...
Can you fit the PH-2 boot surround (part with the release button and Renault diamond) to a PH-1?
Or are the boots slightly different? :S
Any help mucho appreciated!
I cleaned mine up a year ago, when I changed the throttle cable.
Using pretty much the same method.. the car was a lot more smoother after and no more juddering at low rpm!
Good write up Russ.
I thought that...
But my previous car ran some 4 point aero buckle stylie harnesses and that passed fine?!
Although the guy did not seem very clued up, his first words where..
"Cannot pass that mate, you aint got no back seats"
He was adamant the car requires rear seats hahaha
Matched inlet and plenum... Angel works, jam sport, APD etc.
Cat cam 428's... Kam racing, Icarus on the forum.
ITG replacement filter (if you have original air box) with enlarged air feeds.
de-catted exhaust system
ECU re-map... RS-tuner (Custom map my Henk) or RS-tuning (based in Leeds)...
Mine has stood up pretty well to scratches... Various trips to the tip, weekends away, wheels and tyres in the back etc.
Near enough no scratches at all tbh!
two local body shops I tried did not want to do the job LOL... Too much messing around for them!
So I decided to go DIY stylie... It really was not difficult
Prep time 4 hours
First coat of paint 1 hour
Second coat of paint another hour
Then left the car over night to dry ;)
I...
I have an extremely large penis, so have to err.. ahh.. eerrmm... have larger seats to accommodate for that! :o
Nothing to do with being 6ft 2" and having a 36" waist.. :rasp:
I have a set of Cobra Imola GT width seats, and these are fine for me.. just enough room to wiggle...
