I removed mine a few months ago...Took 3hrs in total with a friend
Quite easy TBH, remove bumper, unbolt all associated aircon/tensioner parts and then re-fit the new "cup" set-up! It's all self explanatory
I guesstimate 15Kg was removed in total, engine seems to rev a little more freely...
Had my car weighed at local scrap yard last week, apparently weighs 920KG with half a tank of fuel and standard front seats (Which have the weight of a baby elephant LOL)..
With absolutely no interior at all, bucket seasts and a few more weight saving mods you can easily get the Clio...
Re: Renault 5 F2000 Tarmac Rally / Sprint Car - Clio Williams conversion & overhaul
Looking well Winstonia...
Any luck finding the software to map the new ECU?
You wont loose gear box oil like that!
BTW you can replace the seal, but that is a pig of a job, you have to take the shaft apart!
most people say "you cant", there isn't a replacement part" as they will just replace the whole shaft as this will normally work out cheaper for you/less hassle.
Re: someph-ing different...........
Top work Neil..
although I am going for the more hardcore look, no plastics and no crapet ;) LOL
But the results look excellent!!
