The GF has a MK1 stealth on her 172... perfect fit, apart from when cold the back box would slightly knock on the rear suspension spring! I simply extended the rear hanger by 1"... Done :D and they do sound "just right"

Fix it up for now... bare minimum so it is "usable"!! (Option 3) Enjoy the car throughout summer, rag it around on track.. then if the engine ends up breaking or you are still craving that high comp build. Rebuild over winter? TBH the engine does look a little rough around the edges, take it...

aii also need mine doing! and get those top mounts sorted on your car Mark ;)
