call renault parts department, or better still go in and speak to the people on the parts desk. they dont need a part number to find you parts, I dont know where this myth has come from
No, it's actually not a strecth bolt. A stretch bolt gets longer by design when torqued, the crank pulley bolt simply has a limitation on how much it's allowed to stretch and be re-used. I check the length on every bolt and it's rare to find one stretched. Infact most of the time i only have to...
you'll need access to a press, 30mm socket, circlip pliers. Probably need a hub puller as the shoes get stuck on the lip of the drum quite often, and be prepared to replace the rear brake shoes when the linings fall off
Re: The car you wish you never sold... What were they?
I dont tend to sell cars. They get run into the ground and scrapped, or turn into another project. I miss my laguna the most though. God that car was brilliant. Should have F4R'd it
would help if you said where you are, then someone local might know if they are local ;)
For reference, I charge £67.50 to fit a full set of springs, fully inclusive. to fit one it would be about £25, although i'd advise to always change springs and shocks in at least axle pairs
That would be pretty pointless as it's a flexi-joint
When the gasket is new, you should be able to see some of it, as it wears the flanges get closer together and the springs slacken.
poor brakes is normally down to poorly maintained calipers or incorrectly fitted pads. Calipers, sliders, pads etc all need to be able to move, quite often the can't and you need a large pry bar to get old pads out. Fluid change helps too, and making sure servo vacuum line is in good condition
Well to give them credit, as least they've given in and realised symbian wasn't upto it. Should have really got the message when the 5800 was a total piece of s**t
Camskill. Even cheaper if you get 15s ;)
T1R's are just fine, people should learn to drive without relying on uber grip tyres to get them out of trouble so much
I ask about the coilovers, as fitting solid top mounts often highlights faults shocks. Seen it a lot with H&R, and GAZ are just nasty to start with so it's a serious consideration
I did the cambelt on this about 2 years ago roughly, H&Rs were knocking quite badly already then. Believe the running issue this had turned out to be the flywheel coming loose, perfect once it was fixed.
Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1
my guess was going to be, the small breather hole into the breather plate hasnt been blocked, so boost is goin through it and straight out the breather pipe at the back
