    172 or 182 manifold....Forged engine + ITB's

182 simply because of the huge heat concentration the 172 manifold gets at the collector

Soon to be the proud owner of a mk1 clio williams replica owner

That's lowered ;) you can't get a bonnet bulge in a ph3 bonnet, and the ph3 front is ugly

Soon to be the proud owner of a mk1 clio williams replica owner

ewwwww ph3 with a ph2 valver bonnet. not a williams replica ;) you can still make the narrow arch mk1s look and go well though, and that looks like a pretty straight one. Complete the set of RSI wheels (the 5 spokes you have on the rear) and get it lowered, then sort the bumper and lights out...

any1 local have alook at my engine - it dont sound right

the dipstick only shows the top litre of oil so it might just be low. Be very sure it's actually low and not just very clean oil. Also, that invoice hasn't got oil on it, it says check oil leak.

    Cambelt change!

out of interest, has the aux belt been done since the cambelt last was?
  13. S

    Cambelt change!

strictly speaking it's 72k or 5 years. I'd leave it not much over 4 years and 60k personally. You're fine for miles, but when in 2006 was it done?

camshaft / crank shaft oil leak?!?

oh, BTW, you should replace the cambelt primarily because of the oil soaking it's had. It'll rot it. so you'll need to remove the whole lot anyway
  15. S

camshaft / crank shaft oil leak?!?

you'll need to get the aux belt off. My money's on the wrong cam seal being fitted to the inlet cam and the VVT pulley has crushed it

    Cam Time!

it'll be safe if you drive it gently and under 5k. Will be a bit rough and try to stall though probably

    Cam Time!

without a dyno it's not properly custom mapped

Just had a new cat fitted - is this normal?

let me check my crystal ball ;) take it back and say you think it's blowing
  19. S

    Cam Time!

well there's no released map for them at the moment, so until we're happy with a kit map you'll be going for custom mapping
