I agree with stripping the interior. The easiest / cheapest way to make any clio faster is to lose weight from it.
Lastly, let's hold back from the language commentary chaps. As Liam said, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Else I'll start dishing points out.
Welcome along. I don't think there is a car out there that is as well suited to being a daily and the occasional track blast, so you're in the right place :)
I'll warn though, the track side of life becomes addictive. Hope you find a good one :)
Ha! That's a long story which involves the insurers saying their glass company could do it for £750, yet me finding the cheapest quote from reputable stained glass companies coming in at £2700.
So, I basically didn't trust the insurers glazier (uPVC outfit) and settled for cash which I used to...
Got smashed in the burglary. That's how they got in :( Replaced it with a timber frame jobby as it's double glazed and more secure, and better on the heating front!
Not much to update. The flamer went on a good run upto Red Bull racing and back, had a good chance to put it through it's paces :smile: I love it!
I tidied the garage up a bit, and acquired a few little bits to make life easier;
Then the flamer got moved out onto the drive as over winter...
A pretty reasonable price. The diff is well worth it, the gripper is in my opinion the best mod I have done to mine, including the supercharger and the cage etc.
Enjoy.
It is a lot more positive, with less play. I love mine.
Needs some time invested in it to get it to fit right and the gears to run through fine, but I wouldn't be without it now.
@realnumber 1 How much are you paying for your belts?
I ask, as Dan's package is £1099 including full belt change, cams and mapping. It is incredibly good value.
I can also personally vouch for his work.
As Advikaz said, if it is to be a track only car, you want the lightest / cheapest which would be a 172 cup.
But, if you're attached to the shape of a 197 / 200 then get the 197.
