There's 3 earth points. 1 at the back edge of the gearbox, 1 at the front where the battery earths out and the final one is the earth strap between the gearbox and the chassis as pictured above mate.
The earth point at the back of the box is about smack bang inline with the driveshaft and it's...
Put a jump lead on the engine and the other end on the battery earth terminal. That'll rule out if you do have an earth issue or if it's something else.
You shouldn't really mix and match a crownwheel and pinion mate.
For maximum performance i'd opt for the gripper personally, but it comes down to personal preference. I chose the Quaife because I got it at a extremely good price.
Crownwheel bolts on mate. Also the gripper won't need servicing anywhere near as often as they've done something with the plates. It will need servicing, but we are talking multiple years, not every year.
Unfortunately mate I'm going to go bigger than the 280's if I fit 4 pots so they wouldn't be of any use to me. If i think of anyone else though I'll send them your way.
I don't own a set of brembos mate so I don't want them that badly!
Nah costs are not so much of an issue as I can get bells and brackets made up for material costs + a drink. The biggest issue is that I'm not taken by the brembos. The overall design of them is big and bulky. A 300mm disc and 4...
I may be at Anglesey and at oulton for the Rs day. Purely as a spectator/wanker/abuser/moral support worker. Delete as applicable you raging homo.
A little update. Blinged the ecu mounting up with some fancy anodised cups that I'd got lying around. The plate and ecu are now fixed down. Had a little play with some stuff that I borrowed off @Panda today. This consisted of pms caliper brackets, brembos and 300mm discs. The findings are that I...
Well you need to find a ignition + and an earth point from around the dash area. The earth can be the dash bar basically, or anything metal that's attached to the bodyshell. The ignition positive needs a multi meter to locate, but there's one in the wiring for the wiper/indicator stalks.
The...
It's now on Ast sportline 2's and significantly stiffer springs all round. That's what's on the car in the oulton video, but everything else as listed above.
No diff either.
In that video it's Grp n cam timing, Grp n ecu (genuine), Btb 2.5" stealth with decat and v6 airbox bolted directly on to the throttle body.
Suspension wise it's on the old kw's (v2's) and the roll centre kit.
Brakes are hc plain discs and ds2500's all round.
