The most I've been with was 10 mate and it was horrendous tbh. Started going just me and the missus in the end and preferred it a lot more.
Ah so not proper camping then! Cheats camping! Flol!
Holy s**t! 40?!?
I'd rather pickle my testicles than camp tbh. Got frostbite from camping at spa in August for the f1 - never again! Lol! I even had a 4 seasons sleeping bag!!
Yes up for it providing the engine and box are in and done. Also, how much of a group are we talking? Big numbers mean big logistical issues for going out for food/hotels etc etc.
Petrol power ftw!!! 8 merlin engines singing happily as they use more than a gallon a minute with another 4 merlins just purring away on the ground. Derv power may be winning Le Mans, but petrol power helped to win the war! Flol!

If they need to use heat on the tre's they should consider doing the job properly and removing, cleaning and anti seize compounding them ffs. If a jobs worth doing, do it right. Really f***s me off when people bodge!!!!
Well done on your big update mate. You were very restrained! I don't think I would've been able to hold back my 'excitement' though and would've almost certainly dropped the nut if I'd picked my car up in that state!!! Such a shame it was left this way, but as you say, onwards and upwards.
The bit of plastic pictured earlier is the oil splash feed to 5th gear mate. If your dad removed some plastic from the gearbox it's either melted or got snapped when you were removing the 5th gear cover.
It cut out and wouldn't restart because your crank sensor signal comes from the flywheel mate. They have the teeth machined into them.
How much damage has it done? They'll happily scrap a block and gearbox at those rpm's!
I'd be checking the cam timing as well as you may have jumped a tooth on...
When you say the tyre is rubbing the arch, which part is it rubbing? Is it the arch lips or the inside of the arch? Do you have spacers on the rear and what is the offset of your wheels? There's a method to the madness.
On a normal 172/182 it's around a 70/30 split. On a 172 cup there's next to no braking effort on the rear and they usually fail mot as a result. This was setup this way by the renaultsport engineers as they had no abs. It's probably nearer 90/10 on the split on a cup tbh.
I'm afraid I can't answer that question regards the brembos and spacers. Ph1 Tom will be able to though as he will be running this setup soon.
If it's a track car aim for 2.5-3 degrees negative. If it's road and some track 2-2.5. 10-15 minutes of toe out will do the trick as well.
Correct! 15mm up front is the maximum you can go without toatally ruining the scrub geo but that's on standard offset rims of around ET45 (ish). You'll get better handling from roll centre/bump steer corrections, as we've found and proven.
You'll get away with spacing the rears further, but i'd...
That had the potential to be all starting to go wrong at 160mph if he was on the pace. It feels fast in that section at 135 in a Clio, but when the Porsches overtake you it makes you feel like your doing about 70!!
I can't really say that I noticed any difference tbh, but as with everything, every little helps. You'll probably release a few hp/lb ft throughout the rpm range
Yeah I'd imagine it was more of a nervous reaction to what they'd just witnessed.
They should've stopped really, but that corner is such a fast corner (120 in a Clio if pushing on) it's potentially an opportunity to get cleaned up by another car that's out of control on porsche debris. Tough call.
Whilst looking on bridge to gantry this morning I came across this..........http://youtu.be/KpTkJcM5yL4
